If FR had the ability to let us edit our posts, I would edit my #719 to add:

We need to have greater appreciation for our many areas of agreement, and learn to have perspective about our few areas of disagreement. We are, after all, individuals. Our individual opinions, likes and dislikes are formed out of that mysterious God-given mix of genetics, personality, and upbringing which molds each of us into unique beings.

Furthermore, as Americans, we are blessed to be citizens of a nation founded and built on the supreme importance of individuality. Our Constitution was the first national, formal document in all of human history to celebrate and protect the rights of the common individual over the rights of the state.

I honor Tony Snow's memory by calling on all Republicans and Conservatives to be more like him in the ways we behave toward each other. Agree or disagree, sure. Express your opinions strongly. But let's stop turning on each other in the harsh, mean, vindictive ways we see daily on FR posts.

To All,

Thanks for your prayers and support. You know they mean more to me than I can put in words. Prayer has power because God does.

I’m back home and doing fine — although I lost a little weight in the hospital. It wasn’t exhaustion, but i thought it best not to go into particulars. I may do so on O’Reilly today (Friday). I’ll probably do some CNN during the late afternoon (Eastern time) as well. Then I’ll sleep all weekend. Next week — LA on Monday to Debate Bill Maher; Phoenix on Tuesday at the Center for Arizona Policy; something in DC on Wednesday; Wounded Warriors in NYC on Thursday. The following week also is insane, but then things slow down. I promise, I’ll start taking it easier.

Very well said, Wolfstar. I can’t add anything except the saying, “After all this is over, all that will really have mattered is how we treated each other.”

I saw the news this morning and had a very good cry and said prayers for him and his family. I made sure to wear white for The Snowman. :-)

I know Tony would not want us to sit around feeling bad for him, but remember the good things. So, I will remember the time he replied with a “ROTFLMAO” when I told him that the regulars from the Tony Snow radio show thread were going to fight the Laura Ingram fans, reminiscing about “Theodoric of York: Medieval Barber” and old-timey SNL, and his awesomely warm smile.

I was going to change my tagline to something more respectful for this thread, but I think Tony would appreciate a good Simpson’s reference. God bless you, Tony.
