Note to Newsweek: Read your own story and you will not be so puzzled about Obama's rapid drop in your poll.

Newsweek is about as smart as mr 57 states. Wishful thinking doesn’t make it happen and what is really stunning is that some Americans recognize the blatant stupidity and yellow journalism of some reporters.

More proof that the media is Obama’s Wizard of Oz behind the curtain.

I don't know. Americans are pretty stupid these days. Just ask someone who's fault it is that gas prices are so high and the FIRST thing out of their idiot mouths is: It is Bush's fault; it is the big oil companies fault. RARELY have I heard anyone blame the Marxists in Congress or the Islumic Muzzies. Nope, it is easy to just say the president. THESE IDIOTS do not even realize that there is about NOTHING a president can do about oil and its prices.

Perhaps Newsweek made the mistake of including Republicans in their latest poll.

Maybe people are waking up to the empty suit, the Stepford candidate, the Manchurian candidate.
Just the sheer creepiness of the guy, the empty rhetoric, the sheer looming disaster of what would happen to the US if such a pseudo glib nothingness was actually elected to the seat of power is starting to sink in with the majority.
It’s only all talky “liberals” trying to prove how “liberal” they are that would vote for this vacuuous nonentity with no real convictions or knowledge of the real and hostile world we live in.

Roger that. Thankfully I am retired and do not have to put up with it day to day. Only when I have to venture to the only damned grocery store in our area, Wal Mart, where I have to walk among the uneducated and unwashed do I have to mingle. It has come to the point that I about hate people or being around them. Most Americans now days are an embarrassment. Just watch a few of the COPS show and you can see just what American's inter cities and underbelly looks like. Drunks, drugs, some broad with 6 kids by 6 different men, shacked up in a single wide trailer and the cops having to come in and referee the latest drunken brawl.

As Michelle would say for the editors of Newsweek, boo freaking hoo.
With the bias in the polls, McCain is probably up 10%. I sense a McCain landslide in the fall. I also see coattails for Republicans. Libs are going to be suicidal.

Obama's appeal in large part was based on the perception he brought something new and fresh to politics. He has since shown he's just like every other politician, willing to shed his principles and sacrifice his dearest convictions in the pursuit of power.

Yeah I agree...
Barring anything getting bizzare, I see a big win for McCain in November. Not my choice, but a damn sight better than Hussein.

Sounds like Hazleton PA.
I ignore my ignorant co-workers they are bar flies who get the news from MSN. I keep Rush nice and loud in my office. It actually keeps some away for a few hours. I don't discuss politics anyway. Politics and religion don't talk about it. But if anyone says something to me I will probably explode and give them a big toungh lashing. Has never happened yet!

People (generally conservatives) have been asking why McCain isn’t putting on the gloves and knocking out Obama even before the convention nominates him — he certainly has the opportunity after all.
Some fear McCain may lack the things Jesse wants to remove from Obama.
BUT WAIT!!!! Are people aware that only a little over a hundred delegates (from primaries) gives Obama the lead over Hillary? Now what happens if Democrats — especially super delegates — decide that Obama is a losing cause? The super delegates can have an epiphany and change their vote anytime they want! So a weak Obama COULD be replaced with a stronger candidate like Hillary.
Stranger things have happened in politics.
