When I heard that, I was surprised too, until I remembered that Tony’s bandmates said on Greta last night, that they didn’t see Tony as WH Press Secretary or a TV/Radio host but rather as the neighbor down the street. Perhaps he was happier being thought of that way.

Good point probably he would not have wanted people to introduce him to their friends and family as a political animal but just as a college and friend - a regular guy irrespective of his political views.
