Obama Campaign Calls New Yorker Magazine Cover “Tasteless and Offensive”
Fox News ^ | July 13th, 2008 7:25 PM Eastern | Bonney Kapp

Barack Obama had no response to the over of the July 21st issue of The New Yorker Magazine, seen below, except to shrug incredulously and tell reporters, “I have no response to that.”

The cartoon features Barack and Michelle Obama celebrating with a fist bump in the Oval Office in front of a portrait of Osama bin Laden and an American flag burning in the fireplace. Mrs. Obama is portrayed as a militant radical, while Obama appears foreign. The image reflects, some might say mocks, the rumors that have plagued the couple over the last 18 months.

Somehow this reminds me of the Monty Python routine in which the Prince of Wales of insulted by Oscar Wilde, George Bernard Shaw, and James McNeill Whistler, with each insult being artfully turned into a compliment until of them goes too far with the joke, and all that’s left is a crude, inexcusable insult. On example of the fun (before the line is crossed):

JAMES McNEILL WHISTLER:
Your Majesty is like a stream of bat’s piss.

(gasps)
THE PRINCE OF WALES:
What?
JAMES McNEILL WHISTLER:
It was one of Wilde’s.
OSCAR WILDE:
It sodding was not! It was Shaw!
THE PRINCE OF WALES:
Well, Mr. Shaw?
GEORGE BERNARD SHAW:
I, um, I, ah, I merely meant, Your Majesty, that, ah, you shine out like a shaft of gold when all around is dark.

Tasteless and offensive because it hits too close to home...even if it is most probably a false flag operation from liberals trying to generate sympathy for him as a victim.

Nonetheless, me thinks they protest too much!

They come across as very thinned skinned the Obamites about their Obamahdi.

Fact is, Obama has strong ties to Islam in his youth, and has indicated in his own books that if the winds of public opinion blow against the Muslims in this nation that he will stand with them.

He, to this day, can recite the Islamic call to prayer in fluent Arabic and calls the sound one of the most beautiful sounds on earth at sunset.

His troubles in this regard are of his own making and are a part of his makeup that he would like us to believe he is distancing himself from...but the problem is, he can't. They are who he is and the fact that he resorts to out and out lying about them, and getting so all fired worked up over such satire simply makes it all the worse for him.

As a result of his own willful close relationships of long standing with militant anti-Americans and his positions on the issues throughout his political career in the IL Senate and the US Senate, he is marked, and justafiably so as a militant anti-American himself and an abject marxist.

He may try to pass himself off as something quite different (and he and his campaign are straining at knats to do just that), but that is who he is.

My instinct tells me the Obama campaign is involved in this cover. Their candidate is a failure; he should be crushing Old Man McCain at this point in time.

This sort of bigotry is something that can rally people behind Obama. It's a rather basic example of the government/media complex and how it ties into the liberal mindset.

Obama will milk this cover until the convention with his speeches against “intolerance”, and then he will give his rockstar acceptance in front of 75,000 idiots in Denver during a lightning storm.

xcept, you think they are against it. They aren't.

The New Yorker is a Clinton supporting mag, and always has been.

I smell a hit job on Obama, meant to cast doubt on the Illinois Senator... and make Hillary seem more acceptable.

Just in time for the Democratic Convention.

Sorry, senator, THAT is not tasteless and offensive.

Tasteless and offensive is sitting under “hate America” preaching for 2o years and then saying it didn’t affect you.

Tasteless and offensive is nurturing a relationship with terrorists like Bill Ayers, who proudly stomps on the American flag every chance he gets.

Tasteless and offensive, is your wife claiming that now, after your run for the Presidency, she is FINALLY proud of her country.

Tasteless and offensive is your description of your grandmother as a “typical white person”, all the while the wheels of your bus spin rampantly upon what’s left of her soul.

Sorry, senator, but YOU are tasteless and offensive.

I’m TheRobb7 and I approved this message.
