Face it, you’re an apologist for thugs. No one here was saying that all black people are criminals, but it’s an inescapable fact that crimes committed by a pack are usually young black men.
I am not an apologist for thugs. I want the criminals that did this to be thrown under the jail. I have a beautiful 15 year old daughter ( thanks to my lovely white husband) and I can only imagine the horror they went through. My problem started when people started to make assumptions about this case based on the names of the perps (and possible race of the victims) and disparaging remarks about black people, diversity etc. based on the assumptions.
A problem that is not properly named and identified cannot be solved. Crimes which involve a pack of men as the assailants are almost always young black men.
I think a useful saying concerning terrorism might shed light on some posters' feelings in this case. It's been said that "not all Muslims are terrorists, but all terrorists are Muslims." Of course, not every single terrorist is a Muslim, but the great majority of terrorists are. This also provides the truth that the majority of Muslims aren't terrorists.
This saying can be applied to this case: not all blacks commit violent pack crimes, but all violent pack crimes are committed by blacks.
Do you see what we're getting at yet? No one was castigating an entire race, but it is an inescapable FACT that this brand of criminal is almost always a young black man. Ignoring that FACT means that we're avoiding properly defining the problem, which, in turn, means that we're not getting closer to solving the problem.
Political correctness and the failure to label rampant black criminality don't do anyone of any race any favors.
A black family recently moved into an all-white neighborhood in the New Orleans suburbs. Someone burned KKK into their yard a few weeks later. Talk radio and the paper were all over the story, and a few hundred white people came out on a Saturday to re-sod the yard and say prayers, and apologize for the actions of one person.
How much do you want to bet that the black community of Minneapolis doesn't hold a fund raiser to cover this man's medical bills, or do anything at all to help this man's family heal? If anything the black community will blame the actions of Devondre and crew as being the fault of society. The black community won't "own" the problem the way the white community "owned" the problem in N.O. when someone burned KKK in a black family's yard.
So, tough shit if you can't handle people telling the truth about subhuman scum who grope girls and kick unconscious men in the head while their frieds wait their turn for a kick.
