Who says that a candidate can't get votes despite being rated "unfavorable"??? And who said they are distributed along Electoral lines.

Sen. Obama has surged ahead of Sen. McCain in key states such as PA and OH...and who knows what his favorable ratings are...I know that Sen. McCain's are low, too.

What a mess...bad candidates.

Obama will win NJ with a margin of 1-2% at most, which is not good considering how heavily the state has been voting Democratic in national elections since 1988 (it has leaned Dem at a local level since the 1920s), and will lose the otherwise trending-Democrat suburbs of NYC (Clinton, Gore, and Kerry won Long Island and Westchester Counties, but Obama will lose these).

Where the "race thing" will really get him in trouble is in Pennsylvania and (possibly) Michigan.
