Palin and Jindal, no. By selecting them you remove one of the strongest attacks you have on Obama - lack of experience. How can you make that case when your running mate has even less?

Sanford, tepid. He's from a state that McCain should carry easily and isn't known much outside it.

Pawlenty, tepid. He brings nothing to the ticket, and won't help carry Minnesota or surrounding states.

Romney, hold my nose and support. He might help in Michigan, Colorado (big Mormon population), Ohio, and Pennsylvania. He can do the attack-dog schtick that a vice-presidential candidate needs to do. He's weak on elective office - one term as governor - but strong on economic policy. Probably the best of the bunch.

Huckabee, Hucka-who?
