I'll see if I can check that out.. I work with a guy that was a former Tail gunner on a Buff.. He does have some stories.. like he's describing the ride back there.. I think he said that a foot of motion in the front was amplified in the X 8

He was telling the truth. You could always tell which helmet was the tail gunner’s. It was the one with the chipped paint from banging around in between the circuit breaker panels. Lots of tail movement, riding backwards, remote position from the rest of the crew, separate pressurized area...they had to be dedicated men who could never forgot to carry airsick bags.
