I'm the oldest of eight, and I had a great childhood, despite not having the latest gadgets or styles. I think the ship has sailed for me personally having a big family, even if I meet the right man, but my younger siblings may take up the slack... ;-)
Every so often, one of my boys will ask why we don't have an XBox or PS2, etc. "All my friends do." Of course, when their friends come over here, they don't notice what we
don't have--they're too busy ripping through the board games, card games, Legos, paint and pencil sets...I swear, I don't know if some of these kids ever do anything besides sit in front of the tv. What a way to waste childhood.
I was 5th of 6. I'd love to add to our brood, but I don't think it's "in the cards." I never give up hope, though.
