Me either. Regular unleaded all the way. The only way I’d buy the premium stuff is if I owned a sports car.

Some engines require high octane.
To: Fawn
Rush likes high-end wheels.
Rush can afford those high-end wheels.

Not your regular, standard car or SUV. Only the sports cars really need it, IMO!

But most of us have regular cars which run fine on regular unleaded.

Doesn’t the climate impact what level octain you should use too?
I always thought some that with climate zones the high octane “should” be used - but my knowledge of automobiles would not fill a thimble.

I think if you have a low compression engine and go through a lot of gasoline then regular is OK. But if the gas sits around or you have high compression engines I like high octane. In Florida the gasoline is terrible. I use a funnel filter to fuel my boats and vette and the water is terrible. The higher octane also compensates for the ethanol. Some of the highest compression engines are in the small cars. I also get better milage and I drive like a deamon.

I have a CRV and IIRC the owner manual recommended regular unleaded.
