Those McFabulous Rainbow Arches
WorldNetDaily ^ | 07/29/08 | Matt Barber

I'm always mystified when allegedly intelligent, bottom-line-obsessed corporate types abandon the fiscally secure milieu of political neutrality and take sides, officially, on deeply polarizing, socio-cultural issues of the day.

That's exactly what the formerly family-friendly McDonald's Corporation recently did. In an apparent effort to pierce the hyper-demanding good graces of the radical homosexual lobby, these clowns (pun intended) have thrown the vast majority of potential Mickey D's customers, worldwide, under the bus. Because of this colossal corporate blunder, the hamburger giant is now facing an embarrassing and ever-growing international boycott.

McDonald's self-inflicted woes started back in March, when the company paid $20,000 to have Richard Ellis, McDonald's "out and proud" homosexual vice president of communications, placed on the board of the innocuously tagged "National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce." NGLCC is an extremist, "gay" activist organization that lobbies for leftist causes, such as "gay marriage," and pushes for other policies that would grant special privileges to certain individuals who define themselves based upon unhealthy, traditionally immoral and changeable sexual behaviors.

Unfortunately, the radical San Francisco-style policies both the NGLCC and McDonald's advocate run directly counter to the best interests of the vast majority of Americans outside California's "Sodom on the Bay." For example, under communist-tested, McDonald's-approved "hate speech" legislation, such as the so-called Employment Non-Discrimination Act, Christians and other business owners with traditional values would be forced – under penalty of law – to abandon sincerely held religious beliefs and adopt McDonald's own secular-humanist, moral-relativist view of right and wrong. In many cases, business owners would be persecuted, even if the business in question were expressly faith-based. This pits the government directly against the free exercise of religion and, for that reason, is unconstitutional on its face.

This provides me an opportunity to share my correspondence with McDonalds on this issue. My wife and I have quit spending money at this restaurant.

My first email:

Recent news about Richard Ellis joining the board of the NGLCC and McDonalds sponsoring this outfit are most discouraging. Its one thing, acceptable for a pagan company, to market to any niche of the market - including homosexuals. But by actively sponsoring deviant behavior and those who seek to normalize it, McDonalds is helping destroy the very family oriented culture it depends on for its growth and future success.

I will give up the best french fries and spend my fast food money elsewhere as long as this destructive behavior by McDonalds stops.

Ronald’s reply:
Thank you for contacting McDonald’s. We appreciate this opportunity to share information regarding our commitment to our employees as well as the communities that we serve.

First, it’s important to note that McDonald’s respects and values people. Diversity and inclusion are business imperatives and integral components of McDonald’s culture. We believe that by embracing our differences we are better enabled to value and respect other people as well as understand differing points of view.

We have a long and proud history of leadership in these areas. We continually strive to maintain an environment in which everyone feels valued and accepted. We encourage employees to recognize and appreciate the contributions that all diverse groups and individuals bring to the McDonald’s system.

Specifically regarding the AFA Action Alert Newsletter, here are the facts:

- All references to comments from Jim Skinner, McDonald’s CEO in the Action Alert Newsletter are complete fabrications.

- While one McDonald’s employee is affiliated with the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), McDonald’s is in no way “aggressively promoting the homosexual agenda” as suggested in the newsletter.

- The NGLCC is a non-profit organization dedicated to support economic opportunities for the gay and lesbian business community.

- In addition to McDonald’s, there are numerous other Fortune 500 companies that serve as corporate partners with NGLCC.

- McDonald’s commitment to diversity and inclusion is a business driver and part of our culture.

- At McDonald’s, we treat all our employees and customers with dignity and respect regardless of their ethnicity, religious beliefs, sexual orientation or any other differentiating factor.

Thank you for sharing your personal point of view on this topic with us.

My response (19 April - no reply from Ronald):
It’s obvious you didn’t read my email. I did not mention McDonald’s CEO or the AFA. I pulled my information from the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce web site, here http://www.nglcc.org/ht/d/sp/i/213/pid/213 and here http://www.nglcc.org/ht/d/sp/i/14694/pid/14694

As I initially stated - I am not opposed to human beings being treated as less than human, regardless of their beliefs. I do, however, take exception to “family friendly businesses” actively endorsing and promoting sub-cultures that are destructive of the family and the very business itself. It matters not to me how large the group of businesses doing this is - that does not make it right or reasonable for any one of them.

As long as McDonald’s actively promotes such things as the homosexual agenda, I will not provide my money to it in exchange for it’s products. Market products to whatever niche you see the need to. But do not promote wicked lifestyles that will further erode the culture of this country.

McD’s food sucks. Always has. In the past there was one redeeming factor, speediness. When the burgers were precooked and put under a heat lamp, if one was in a hurry one could order something that was seen under the lamp and get on one’s way. Now that they make the burger after you order it, service has slowed considerably.

And the food still sucks.

I go to Wendy’s. While McD’s supports the queer agenda, Wendy’s supports child adoption.

I would not take my kids to McDonald’s even if they gave a billion dollars to the NRA.

McDonalds is making a point to not just target families anymore, but to develop specific campaigns for each market

see www.365black.com specifically targeting the black community.

The Golden Arches are now the Lavendar Arches.

"I will give up the best french fries and spend my fast food money elsewhere as long as this destructive behavior by McDonalds stops."

and

"As I initially stated - I am not opposed to human beings being treated as less than human, regardless of their beliefs."

I'm assuming some typing errors in here...

As one who travels most of the time to make a living, I have eaten at Mickey D's thousands of times over the past 35 years. Never again will I grace their doors as long as they promote the B.S. they are now. I don't care if you are gay, straight, transsexual, transvestite, or whatever the hell you want to be, just stay out of my face with it, and ask me if I want fries with that order. Other than that, I'll just go where they stay out of the sexual politics, and just serve food that is fast, edible, and hot.

Yes - oops on my part.

The first sentence SHOULD have been: “I will give up the best french fries and spend my fast food money elsewhere until and unless this destructive behavior by McDonalds stops.”

sigh

The next sentence should have been “As I initially stated - I am opposed to human beings being treated as less than human, regardless of their beliefs.”

I would suggest that we all log on to the NGLCC website and check out ALL of their corporate relations. There’s a lot more there than just McDonalds. Burger King, Southwest Airlines, Wells Fargo.... it goes on and on.

Many if not most McDonalds are franchisees.

Perhaps what we SHOULD be doing is getting the franchise owners to protest to HQ.

In addition, McDonalds is very popular among the investment clubs of america.

It is all about money. The effete elites who have infested the PROPERTY OF THE STOCKHOLDERS are selling the lie that homosexuals are more profitable than the 98% of the normal population.

If you are taking your kids out to a saturday or sunday morning at the McPlayground, you probably will not want do it now.

Stock holders have to get vocal and get visible to stop this. (see ford, see dixie chix, see american ethpreth)
