Hell -- otherwise known as Congress -- has officially frozen over. For the first time since the 1950s, Members will skip town today for the August recess without either chamber having passed a single appropriations bill. Then again, Democrats appear ready to sacrifice their whole agenda, even spending, rather than allow new domestic energy production.

Or even a mere debate about energy. The Democratic leadership is stonewalling any measure that might possibly relax the Congressional ban on offshore drilling. Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid know that they would lose if a vote ever came to the floor, and they're desperate to suppress an insurrection among those Democrats who are pragmatic about one of the top economic issues. Behind this whatever-it-takes obstructionism is an ideological commitment to high energy prices. The rulers of the Democratic Party want prices to keep rising.

It’s time to stand up and VOTE THEM OUT! I think this issue is going to be the key factor come November and people need to know that their salaries are JACK SQUAT to the democrats. I did not think there was any possible means short of a terrorist attack that would prevent the catastrophe that was coming in November. Democrats object to drilling even if gas reaches $10.00 a gallon! Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Senate Leader Harry Reid will not even allow a VOTE on the issue, denying 75% of Americans who wish to do so a voice in our own government.

Less than two weeks ago President Bush removed Executive blocks to offshore drilling. On that simple act we saw prices drop from $4.09 to $3.57 in a week! Now Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy is publicly blocking all votes to do the same in the House, and the price has begun to rise again!

A driver or taxpayer who votes for a Democrat is like a chicken who votes for Colonel Sanders!

What are we going to do? VOTE!!!

Look at her e-mail address “AmericanVoices@mail.house.gov“.

“AmericanVoices” is clearly a political message. But this is the official mail for the government. Her mail name should be required to be her name, or her office, NOT some political message.

What if the dems, themelves, get so fed up with Pelosi that they no longer want her to represent them as Speaker?

Do they have to allow her to finish out her term?
Or is there a way for the dems to recall her and select someone else?
