John Rich debuts “Raisin’ McCain”
Fox News ^ | August 1,2008 | Mosheh Oinounou

PANAMA CITY, FL — Country Music star John Rich premiered a new song Friday dedicated to Sen. John McCain at a rally for the GOP presumptive nominee on the Florida Panhandle.

At a “Country First” (get it?) concert, one of the two stars of Big and Rich performed “Raisin’ McCain” as McCain was arriving for a brief rally in Panama City. The song focuses on the Vietnam veteran’s time as a POW and refers to him as a “a real man with an American plan.” (Full lyrics after jump)

“Well we’re all just raisin’ McCain. Everywhere across the USA. You can get on the train or get out of the way. We’re all just raisin’ McCain,” the chorus goes. While it is not likely to takeover the charts like Big and Rich’s recent hit, “Save a horse, ride a cowboy,” the nearly 500 person crowd danced along to the hit. Rich performed the song solo though as his musical partner, Big Kenny, is an Obama supporter. (Video of the event on the link provided)

I heard about that. Something to do with giving the finger to a whole lot of people behind him, right?

I laugh at liberals like you who compromised away any principles you might have had years ago, and then constantly blame those who won’t compromise for the inevitable results of your own compromise.

If a liberal like Obama or McCain wins the presidency it will be because of the liberals who voted FOR them, not the conservatives who would not.

Capiche?

Which hotel (was it a hotel?) on the beach had the large deck outside where everyone partied? That was so fun.

OK, this is getting a bit out of control. I said I was going to keep a list of people who say they won’t vote for McCain. I simply said that if and when there is a President Obama, those people would have no right to bitch and moan here on FreeRepublic. That’s it. THere is no THREAT. I’m 5’2” and weigh 120 lbs. Don’t flatter youselves, I don’t care that much about ya. ;)

Fine, Hildy. That sounds more civil. No harm—no foul.

But I reserve the right to complain about whomever is the next President if I want to, regardless of who I vote for or don’t vote for.

If this becomes HildyRepublic.com, you set the rules of the discussion.

Since it is not, you don’t get to do that.

I’m not a McCain fan but I’m starting to get excited about him. He is really going full force after Obama. I’m also encouraged that the Republicans in Congress caused chaos today. Here’s hoping that the Republicans are starting to wake up.

It was done in jest.. but just in case Hildy, can I still have the list of names that refuse to vote for McCain ( just kidding for those who do not recognize humor)

I just looked at your candidate for President .. Alan Keyes

“Sacramento, CA - July 6, 2008

In their biennial convention held on July 5, 2008, in Sacramento, California, the American Independent Party nominated a slate of Electors pledged to Alan Keyes for President. This nomination followed the June 27, 2008, affiliation of the American Independent Party with America’s Independent Party “

Your candidate Alan Keyes could not even beat Obama in the race forU.S. Senate in Illinois in 2004.

Kudos to John Rich. I find him the better half anyway. ;) I love his voice, his talent in songwriting and the man obviously has good common sense to know what we are facing with Obama.

John Rich is the real talent in Big & Rich. He co-writes with Gretchen Wilson as well.
