My comment was based on the headline & 1st sentence of idiot journalist Russ Pulley.
One shouldn't have to read the entire article to translate what should have been simple straightforward English.

I agree it was a good shoot. But I do have some questions. IE: What caliber and loading was the good guy using?

I’m concerned that whatever he used left the perp alive
after a head shot. I carry a .45 auto but I know people that rely on .380s. Does anyone know what the good guy
carried?

I assume you are saying he was no longer in danger and therefor had no cause to use deadly force.

Not at all, The bad guy got what he deserved.
I'm saying the journalist is an idiot that can't compose a grammatically correct sentence.

I’d imagine the head shot was due to the robber trying to get away or ducking. I know I wouldn’t intentionally aim for someones head instead of center mass.

Also shows that its wise to pay attention to whats going on around you at the ATM.

A confirmation that the victim jumped out of the car
video at link, includes comments from a cop.
"...Police said the man approached an older couple as they drove up to an ATM at a northland Bank of America location early Satuday morning and threatened them with a gun. But the man in the car grabbed his own gun, jumped out of the car and shot the would-be robber in the head. He was taken to a hospital and was listed in stable condition..." (victims were in their 60's)

Not if the idiot journalist was correct in that the victim shot the criminal after the robbery. During the robbery attempt would be legal and that's probably what really happened.

It is legal because he shot the criminal in response to the criminal pointing a gun at him.

The criminal was armed and still a threat to others. A liberal prosecutor might try and argue that since the criminal was leaving the victim had no reason to confront him. Depending on the laws there, that might make things a little tricky unless the victim was careful to describe how he felt the criminal was still an immediate threat to him or others, but I doubt he's going to face charges.

If the robbery was caught on tape, I don’t care if the criminal was shot in the back from 30 yards. Regardless, if scumbag decided here to point a gun at his victims, the law should clearly endorse lethal self-defense in this scenario. If someone wants to make legal trouble for the victim, they are in the wrong state, and probably the wrong country.

It's quite possible to shoot a gang-banger in the head and not hit any brain tissue.

I go into this bank on occasion. I don't like the corner layout that it is on due to visibility and the old corner diagonal-way that went behind it.

When my wife heard about the victims’ successful defense of themselves, she was whooping for me to see the report on the tube.

Only thing that is unfortunate is the victim will live to harass or sue.

A gun was pointed at him. He was justified in shooting. I hope they don’t bring charges.

I hope he doesn’t sue, nothing like making a victim be victimized over and over. thankfully... he’s going to be charged, go to prison, and could possibly face civil charges himself. I’m so glad Mo self-defense laws are stronger than they were. The liberals are losing in that area.

The way I heard it, The victims were in the car, the perp pointed a gun at the victim/driver/wife’s face, and then the passenger/victim took his gun out and shot him. The police were interviewed and said the victims did get their money.

"Wait a moment honey... this man has a gun in my face..."

"Okay. I'm done. Now how much money do we want to withdraw...?"
