AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, Maha-Rushie! America's Anchorman, Truth Detector, Doctor of Democracy, and Chief of the Patriotism Police. He is the man who runs America. He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do--That's host. Get ready to what you were born to do--That's listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

The other day Hannity “bragged” that he never even opens his hood as though that is some type of “manly” thing with him. I assume he drives his kids around and yet he doesn’t pay attention to fluid levels or something that even a mechanically challenged person might eyeball simply by looking under the hood.

I don't know about Hannity, but in my lifetime I have driven cars that you had to constantly work on to keep them going, because that was what I could afford .When times got better,so did the cars and now I take them to have them serviced.

” A House Republican leader is lambasting President Bush on his decision not to call Congress back into session to deal with the energy crisis.

In a legislative update sent to GOP members and staff on Tuesday, Republican House Policy Committee Chairman Thaddeus McCotter (Mich.) accused “Beijing George” Bush of throwing House Republicans “under the bone-dry bus” on his way to the Olympics in China.”

Your notion that your every opinion is of vital importance to the world is a sure sign of a serious mental problem.

My opinion is worth every bit as much as yours. I think Rush would respect a woman who differs, on occasion. I am just worried about how he sounds.

OOPS:

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) — Democratic candidate Barack Obama criticized Republican John McCain on Tuesday for taking a page out of “the Cheney playbook” on energy, overlooking his own support of oil-friendly policies that the unpopular vice president helped to craft.

Vice President Dick Cheney, a former oilman, early in the Bush administration helped draft an energy policy that Obama asserted is biased in favor of tax breaks and favorable treatment for big oil. Obama’s remarks were an attempt to capitalize on Cheney’s unpopularity. . . .

However, Obama himself voted for a 2005 energy bill backed by Bush that included billions in subsidies for oil and natural gas production, a measure Cheney played a major role in developing. McCain opposed the bill on grounds it included billions in unnecessary tax breaks for the oil industry.

So is Obama more Cheneyesque than McCain? Well, probably not, but it’s yet another campaign gaffe — with the difference that this stuff is starting to get reported.

The American Tire Manufacturing Association said 4 million barrels can be saved per day. You don’t realize how many people drive around in vastly underinflated tires.

Do you have a linked source for that assertion? Does that cover just the US or the entire world? We use about 21 million bbls of oil a day, which means that we could save about 20% of our oil consumption. That is pure nonsense.

Does the US exports of oil include that which is used for our military?

Further, how would we actually implement tire inflation improvement nationwide? Set up government-run “tire inflation” check points for people to drive into, to make sure they’re “doing their part”?
