Barack Obama is not legally a US natural-born citizen

Obama running in violation of US election law

By Steve Miller Saturday, August 9, 2008

"Barack Obama is not legally a US natural-born citizen according to the law on the books at the time of his birth; a law that was in effect between December 24, 1952 and November 13, 1986, when the law was changed.

"...Therefore, Senator Obama may very well be disqualified as the Democratic candidate in the upcoming Presidential campaign.

Just so you know Obama has a past history of shunning even avoiding any position that would require him to pass a government examination of his and his family’s history.

So do I and my mom says I was born here.

Then it seems constitutionally imperative that the Messiah provide definitive proof he was born on US soil.

I believe 3 wise men on camels will be coming from the East to deliver it but it takes a while on foot and longer to book a flight for them with the current restrictions on visas for camel jockey's.

Great! show me his original Birth certificate and I'll believe he was born in Hawaii and is a citizen.

My original BC is taped into a baby book somewhere in my mom's basement for the past 50+ years. I shudder to think what condition it is in. I have managed to get by with certified copies from the town I was born in.

Yup that is the exact point that most are missing. There also are some people searching for a birth record or a witness in Africa. If Stanley was under 16 and Obama was born in Africa the game is up. Both seem plausible. Also I think someone would remember a relatively dark skinned child being born to a very white woman - with the name Stanley - in the the early 60’s in Hawaii. No one has come forth and said they remember that.

Don’t be ridiculous. When you apply for a job, you’re required to provide certain documents to prove who you are. The prospective employer is not required to provide documents to prove who you are. The burden of proof is on the job applicant, not the prospective employer. Osama is trying to land the job of President of the greatest nation on Earth. It’s up to him to prove who he is and where he came from. If he can’t or won’t do that, he’s not legally entitled to the job. He’s been caught providing a forged document as proof of his identity and place of birth. No prospective employer would give you a second chance if you did that. Yet we’re giving him the opportunity to clear his name, and he refuses. So how do we solve this dilemma? Elect him, and let bygones be bygones?

The law in question only applied to those born outside the US.

True. This Steve Miller doesn't understand the relevant law.

There's not direct evidence that Obama was born outside the US that I've seen.

Agreed. But there are whispers that he may have been born in Kenya, or may have been born in Canada. Although there is no direct evidence of this yet produced, there is also, to the best of my knowledge, no direct evedence that he was born in Hawaii (or anywhere else in the US for that matter). The "fact" that he was born in Hawaii has yet to be proven by a legitimate Hawaiian birth certificate. Attempts to produce such a Hawaiian birth certificate by Obama supporters have resulted in forgeries. One logically wonders why a person allegedly born in Hawaii in 1961 cannot produce a bona fide birth certificate to document that fact. I know that I can produce a birth certificate to document that I was born in the US, and I'm confident that most any American-born individual can do likewise. Why not Obama?

Only if she was married, otherwise his citizenship defaults to hers.

Mine is two feet away from me in my personal files.

One would think that someone running for president wouldn’t have any problems providing theirs especially since they will be the first Hawaiian running for the office.

Oddly enough no one else in Hawaii has come forward with proof that they were there or were even a part of the event.

Even the Hawaiian Governments silence on this issue seems protracted.

Gee, it seems as if the burdon would reside with Obama filling out the appropriate forms with the Federal Election Commission which ‘kick-starts’ his run.

The burden of proof is on the job applicant, not the prospective employer.

I do not believe a candidate has to be qualified to run or to be nominated. My assumption such a restriction would be unconstitutional. Heck, we had a dead man elected to national office. I believe that given the election by the electors of a candidate that is not qualified, congress would have to determine whether he is qualified and if not appoint the VP elect. Would a rat congress look hard?

It seems there is enough confusion on this matter, that an intuitive Republican lawyer might file a lawsuit just after the Democrat Convention to let the courts fastrack this issue and determine exactly what the law says. It would make for great copy.

One would also think that someone of the presumed ‘stature’ of presidential candidate would know where his Harvard thesis is. But Obama says he “lost” it. (aka “the dog ate my homework”)

GREAT, a president with the personal responsibility and organizational quotient of a middle schooler!

If there were any factual basis he was born outside the US, I’d rather know who the VP nominee is and be beyond the possibility of a 3rd party Hillary to have time to get on ballots.

You could make the election tougher for McCain.

Reports are that she was never married to the father. We shall see. What a twisted mess.

Seems reasonable enough, I wonder if the FEC requires it too.
