As much as I believe Clinton should have been convicted during his impeachment, I cannot agree with you that he was worse than Putin. Putin considers the break up of the Soviet Union one of the worst disasters in history. I think it was one of the greatest things to happen and credit Reagan, Lech Walesa, Pope John Paul II, Margaret Thatcher, and the Afghan freedom fighters.

In Kosovo, Milosevic, the communist turned chauvinistic nationalist (like your man Putin) launched his third war in the Balkans. He'd lost the first one badly in Slovenia. He'd lost the next one with Croatia and Bosnia. By the third time, nearly everyone realized he was an evil man. As I rode through Kosovo, I saw nearly all of the roofs blown off of the homes of the people who were returning there. You can say what you want. I know how they'd treated the civilians there. I do not believe all of the Kosovars deserved this, nor do I believe the Georgians deserve Putin's war against their democracy.

I don't think Clinton was worse that Putin. I think they are/were both as bad as their position allows them to be and that makes Putin ten times worse especially now that Clinton has no position.

No one deserves to fall victim of megalomaniacs, but Georgia could have avoided this particular invasion by not invading South Ossetia. They had to know beforehand that Russia would use that as pretext for invading Georgia? Why would Georgia want that?
