Thats because the Russian goals were changing. First it was South Ossetia. Then it was South Ossetia and the autonomous region in the west. You clearly do not understand the impact of this action beyond Georgia. If you wish to conclude that the “Evil Empire” is merely extending solidarity in two territories in another country and there are no repercussions for both Georgia, the region and the world, then you are naive.
