Despite the many mea culpas by the mainstream media about their failure to report on the John Edwards scandal in the wake of Edwards' admission of an affair with his mistress last Friday, they continue to make the same errors as before. Following an initial flurry of reporting about what Edwards said on ABC's Nightline and some analysis of the scandal, the MSM still continues to leave the bulk of the investigative reporting to both the National Enquirer and the blogosphere.

Check the web carefully and you will even find that I have written on medical and historical topics such as an analysis of the blood of the horseshoe crab and the history of pizza.
Personally, I don't see the need for 'additional reporting.' Edwards isn't running for anything, and the story has been told already.
I'd much rather see the conservative news sites forget about the Edwards story and concentrate more on getting the word out about Obama's record and positions.

The "scandal" has evolved from a plain old sex scandal to a misuse of campaign funds scandal..............which is a CRIME, punishable by LAW.................

I think Edwards should be hammered more. Seriously, what kind of vetting job did the MSM do with this guy? Only up until months ago this guy was STILL RUNNING for President. And he WAS considered for VP or AG up until this story broke.
I think at this point, the news is the misappropriation of campaign funds and the investigation into that. It needs to happen. When a candidate can give his mistress campaign funds to have quickie’s available, he needs to be investigated.
Vetting? From the MSM? On a Liberal Democrat?..........you’ve gotta be kidding...............

Well there were the Olympics, and Russia invading Georgia, and the Olympics, and Bernie Mac died, and Isaac Hayes died, and it broke after Rush’ show on Friday afternoon and there was a weekend and besides it raised too many questions about why the media blacked out the story in the first place.
Obama’s position is that he was considering a role for Edwards in his administration and again many DUmmycrats believed a lying Democrat up to the moment he said “I lied”.
Until that moment comes, we hear it is the well funded campaign of a Vast Right Wing Conspiracy.
They never apologize to the so called conspiracy members.
I see a slight resemblance.
