It doesn’t say so far.

Would be very interesting to break this poll down.

Here are the questions:

Should Gov’t Require Radio and TV Stations To Offer Equal Amounts of Conservative and Liberal Commentary?

Yes 41%
No 41%
Not sure 18%

Should Gov’t Require Websites That Offer Political Commentary To Present Opposing Points of View?

Yes 34%
No 50%
Not sure 6%

Like I said, he didn’t reveal what the “Fairness” Doctrine was really designed to do, i.e. squelch conservative talk radio so that the liberal LSM would be the sole provider of information to the public.

Also, the aftermath to allowing amnesty for illegal immigrants to occur throughout the U.S. may eventually create a situation where there’s a civil war. Both full implementation of the Fairness Doctrine and amnesty for illegal immigrants throughout the U.S. can eventually lead to the possibility of civil war, and conservatives truly need to tell this warning often from now on to the general public!

And... ABC,CBS and NBC will not be over the air once the digital transition takes place.

You're joking. Right? I get all my HDTV from my roof-top UHF antenna. No cable. No satellite dish.

This would have to be a Push Poll for the number to be that high.

Polls are no better at setting public policy than they are deciding matters of science.

This poll is bogus -it isn't even about the "Fairness Doctrine".

The "Fairness Doctrine" does not apply to TV, it only applies to radio. Therefore the questions are flawed since the responses may have been materially different if only applied to Radio.

Agreed. That drastic of a change would be too obvious.

How can governmental intervention in broadcasting be good
for our First Amendment? The FCC has stated before it is not in the format regulating business (i.e., if a station changes format and people complain, hey, it’s private enterprise and
we can’t change that). The unFairness Doctrine is NOT for
Freedom of Speech or Freedom of the Press. There shouldn’t
be a government watchdog stating that so-and-so should get X amount of on-air minutes while the opposing view gets so-and-so.

Broadcasting is a free enterprise. Some stations tried
Air America and failed; even one lib admitted on a messageboard that they couldn’t stand “the molasses-
dripped voice of Al Franken”. Then let it be! They tried it,
they failed, we move on. Why should the government have to step in to make sure all sides are covered?

If the FD gets implemented we should demand:
—50 per cent of the New York Times be conservative views

—Keith Olbermann gets Ann Coulter as a permanent co-host

—For every Michael Moore movie that comes out, there
must be a rebuttal film expressing conservative opinions.
The movie studio must devote as much advertising for
the conservative film as the liberal one, and it must be
in the same exact amount of theatres

—Conservative views should invade the likes of
Rolling Stone(d) magazine

—TV sitcoms and dramas must be forced to include
conservative viewpoints

Does that sound like an invasion of our First Amendment
rights? SO IS THE FAIRNESS DOCTRINE

POLLSTER: "Are you for or against things being made fair and equal by passing the 'Fairness Doctrine'?"

BRAINDEAD SCHLEP: "Sure. Everybody who is decent is for 'fairness', aren't they? Of course I'm for 'fairness'. Put me down!"

POLLSTER: "Thank you."

>>Liberals have been very good at re-defining words.

George Orwell:
Ministry of PEACE
Ministry of PLENTY
Ministry of LOVE
Ministry of TRUTH

And add to this the FAIRNESS Doctrine.

Just goes to show, you title something ‘fair’ and most people will fall for it. Everybody wants to be ‘fair’.
