I really doubt many Americans care about this. Too long ago and Communism just doesn’t seem threatening to most people.
Don’t care much myself. There are much better reasons to oppose him.
Are you kidding?? Haven't you been watching the news lately? Russia invading Georgia, the ChiComs, Hugo Chavez, Cuba, North Korea, etc, etc. The still communist-led so-called "anti-war" movement (of course you wouldn't known about that from the MSM). Anyway, it isn't just Frank Marshall Davis who is or was a communist, it's Reverend Wright, Bernardine Dohrn, Bill Ayers, his many communist supporters, here and abroad, on and on. FYI, Wright's Black Liberation Theology is all about communism, and of the worse kind. It advocates the violent overthrow of the American government, actually all Western-style governments. Vladimir Putin on "the greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the [20th] century":
"World democratic opinion has yet to realize the alarming implications of President Vladimir Putin's State of the Union speech on April 25, 2005, in which he said that the collapse of the Soviet Union represented the 'greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the century.'

"The two sides [China and Russia] shall, in the spirit of partnership, strive to promote the multipolarization of the world and the establishment of a new international order."

I think many if not the majority of Americans would care about this if they were aware of Obama’s inclination's. As to being “too long ago, “ given Obama’s age, how long ago could it have been? As to Communism not being a “threatening” ideology, the deaths and enslavement of millions by Communist regime's testify to it's threat to life and liberty.
