I suppose it's where you look for your authority, for your source of truth - whether it's in the declarations of "The Church" or in the Word of God. I guess that might be where I struct the nerve...

Where I look for "authority" is not your concern, unless you're claiming authority over my religious beliefs.

Just for the record, I'm not Catholic but if you're going to start making declarations about who is and isn't a Christian, and by extension who is and isn't qualified to be a teacher or do scientific research then let's have a look at who is and isn't going to pass muster.
