Leave it to the liberal print media to find some way to kill everyone's Olympics buzz.

For instance, did you know that the choice by the U.S. Olympic Committee to have Ralph Lauren stitch the threads for Team USA's opening ceremonies uniform was an unfortunate nod to racism and classism and a futile, nostalgic clinging to America's waning WASP empire? That according to Sameer Reddy (pictured at right, photo via Newsweek) in an August 20 online exclusive for Newsweek

So now the uniform our olympic team wore is racist? Minute by minute, day by day, libs are becoming more and more obsessed with skin color.

I thought they looked stupid, but not racist. How can clothing be racist? These people ARE mentally ill!

It would have been way better to see everyone wearing baggy, droopy trousers that showed their butt cracks.

Down with preppy!!

AntiAmerican Derangement Syndrome.

This is the same pig attitude that led some kids to plot shoot up a school in the 1960s and again decades later at Columbine.

He probably got picked last in gym class.

Sameer Reddy isn't even an American and look at the little hypocrite jackass schmoozing with America's elite.

Isn’t that other Indian fellow the editor of this rag now? They seem to relish telling us how multicultural we all are. Personlly I find them both pretty insufferable. Of course, I never even consider buying News-weak.

What does this say about our society:

Barack Obama is getting his own Fashion Line (The Fashion Time Blog Aug 19th, 2008)

Diane Von Furstenberg, Isaac Mizrahi, Derek Lam, Vera Wang, Tracy Reese, and Charles Nolan – What do all these names have in common? You probably think, these are the designers who are going to do a collaboration for Target?

But no, surprise, they will all design for Barack Obama’s upcoming fashion line!

(snip)

The benefit to the candidate is a direct line to the "Project Runway" crowd. The risk, of course, is being perceived as highbrow or shallow. Obama's opponents have derisively dismissed him as an elitist and a celebrity. And it was the fashion industry that spawned the celebri-monster known as Paris Hilton. Having Seventh Avenue on his roster of supporters would not seem conducive to a Dockers-man image.

Minute by minute, day by day, libs are becoming more and more obsessed with skin color.

I may be looking on the bright side here, but that could be an indication that real, live racism is just about gone in the U.S. Those who have a vested interest in keeping it going have begun frantically looking everywhere for any trace of it.

Gee! And I thought Ralph Lauren designed clothes that would sell. People tend to buy clothes that they would like to be seen in - so that they (hopefully) will look good to everyone else.
Mr. Reddy needs some therapy!

Sameer is seriously out of touch. For the past several years I have been amazed at all the elements of preppy style that have been recycled for use by young black folks. Hilfiger clothing was the first wave that I noticed and then there was Burberry lining patterns turning up everywhere and what about the current and ex-NFL players on ESPN broadcast panels wearing three and even four button suits.

Sameer, the preppy look has been hot in the hood for so long that it should be just about over by now!

Mr Reddy is an example of a mind thorougly twisted liberal idiocy. They see everything in terms of race and class, and long for the day when the US is a backwater third-world nation. These are they types of people turned out in droves by our once great Universities, which are now run by bitter old hippies.
