How can McCain Camp offset Obama's "Texting" Advantage Uhm, by not texting his supporters at 3:00 a.m.!
To: Rockingham
I signed up for the e-mail and I have not gotten one yet. So they are not that on the ball.

He has a database of hard-core democratic voters/activists. What's the concern?
To: no dems
People are upset that they still didn't get their text. They are dupes. It was just a scheme to collect email addresses and phone numbers for future fundraising.
The people who signed up for this are the same morons who install "free" toolbars.

Technology is a tool people use for the benefit of people. It is not something that exists for its own sake. McCain doesn’t have to be email savvy, but people savvy. People count, not machines. Five years in the Hanoi Hilton taught him that.

I got something last night at about quarter to 12 from Barry O about Biden. I don't see any texting advantage for O-Biden.

Esteemed sir Obama Supporter:
Allow me to introduce myself. I am JULIUS OBAMA, brother to the Presidential candidate. For campaign reasons, the amount of ONE HUNDRED MILLION ($100,000,000) was deposited in a bank in Nigeria. With your assistance...

Since the simpletons can’t vote by texting, What’s the worry? The simpletons are not all that responsible when there isn’t a free t-shirt at the end of it.

McCain could simply say “I will not charge you to know the VP, there are no texting fees to pay me. Obama may have TAXED you to find out the VP choice, I will tell you to your face.”
(seriously Obama taxed via text charges to tell people who his vp choice is)

This whole “texting” business seemed really lame, like he was trying extra hard to look like he fits into teenage pop culture. Who knows, perhaps at night he listens to Hannah Montana albums in his room, dancing in front of a mirror and singing into his hairbrush.
I think to counter it, our side should announce our VP pick via morse code on a telegraph machine.

He should just take his buggy down to the post office and mail out his vote for me envelopes.
Now, that's funny!

Republicans vote on Tuesday, Democrats vote on Wednesday.

Anybody that needs to be texted on elected day to remember to vote is so stupid they won’t be able to figure out the voting device and will wind up voting randomly, which means as many of them will accidentally vote for McCain as Obama.
To: no dems
I think he should tell us exactly when he is going to announce and then do it at the exact time and place. This game playing by the Obama camp is so childish. You could tell that the media was irked by it. McCain needs to let the people know that he’s not playing games and that when he says he will do something, he will do it.

amen. Most Americans want a grown-up who treats them as grown-ups for President.

I think that on a level playing field, Mac can beat B. Hussein. But, has anyone thought about the strategy of the scheme to text Obama supporters and notify them of the VEEP selection. He now has hundreds of thousands of cell phone numbers. Visualize, on Election Day, a gazillion Text Messages going out over America: "Don't forget to vote today and take a friend". That's quite a data base.Yeah, but at least the message probably won't get out until 3AM and the polls will be closed by then.

on Election Day, a gazillion Text Messages going out over America: "Don't forget to vote today and take a friend".And half of those messages will go to accounts which have been closed due to non-payment.

McCain has children and aides to do computer work. Well, he should sharpen his quill pen and try harder...
OUT OF TOUCH with everyone else.
Kind of like Bush with putting the TSA in charge of airports. How many times has Bush had to remove his laptop, shoes, belt, etc.? None.
Out of touch politicians. McCain will be worse.

(seriously Obama taxed via text charges to tell people who his vp choice is) BS. Most people have plans that allow for it w/o incurring any significant (if any) charges. It isn't an argument with validity. Beat the crap out of him on infanticide but this move was a brilliant one and distinguishes him.
