Wind Turbines Give Bats The "Bends"
National Geographic News ^ | 25 August 2008 | Brian Handwerk

Wind turbines can kill bats without touching them by causing a bends-like condition due to rapidly dropping air pressure, new research suggests.

...scientist Erin Baerwald and colleagues report that only about half of the bat corpses they found near Alberta, Canada, turbine bases showed any physical evidence of being hit by a blade.

A surprising 90 percent showed signs of internal hemorrhaging—evidence of a drop in air pressure near the blades that causes fatal damage to the bats' lungs.

"This is another example of the left being against anything... "

I think that rather the left being against anything, it is that there are so many spoiled, malcontent, angry Americans as a product of the last two or three generations, any of them can find a favorite "cause" to protest and gripe about incessantly.

The larger problem is the MSM...a bunch of ne'er do wells who went into journalism for the sole reason of vengence on socity for have parents who never paid any attention to them.

Like little "gregorys" these pimps run from one camp to the other, hoping to spread enough venom to get the factions in a fight...thus, creating more "news"...today's journalism is a self-fulfilling prophecy...stir the nest, and then report about the nasty, aggressive killer bees.

I was just reading an article in the WSJ about the problems that the largest manufacturer of wind turbines, located in India, is having. It seems that not only do the turbines not produce the amount of power that is claimed, the blades on the windmills are cracking and shimmying at high speeds.

Now, the fact that the largest manufacturer is located in India reminded me of Enron and the fact that Enron’s problems all began in India, when with the help of Ron Brown, Enron built natural gas fired power plants for India, when India has no natural gas available. The plants were never completed, and never paid for.

You may wonder where I’m going with all this. Well, I started to think about Enron and the connections to the Democrat Party. This led me to wonder if Enron was into wind production and if Boone Pickens and Nancy Pelosi had any connections to the former Enron Wind projects. Sure enough, Enron Wind was purchased by GE and T. Boone Pickens is heavily invested in the GE Wind Turbine Project. Then we heard that Nancy Pelosi has also invested in the projects with Pickens.

None of this really matters except that the Democrats have demonized ENRON as a Republican scam and it has never been that.It has always been tied to the Democrats.

So Pelosi has invested in a bat killing venture? What did bats ever do to her?

Isn't she one of them?

No...she is a little batty, but not a bat. Bats are useful animals. Maybe she hates sharing the sky with them when she is out on her broom late at night....
