Great point.

I can’t help if this series of misdirections is a clever way to build interest and keep it in the news.

I’ve been “sure” a few times in the past 24 hours.

I’m just going to wait.

Her two years as an elected executive is more than Biden, Obama OR McCain.

Someone on FOX just pointed that out as well.

huh??? Obama has young children also. She has more experience that Obama has and more executive experience than Obama and Biden combined. And she can hold her own in a debate and Biden - what is the big deal about him? Hair plugs and a phony grin?

Welcome to Free Republic !!!

She is definitely light on experience but no less so than the Democrat Party’s actual candidate.

This reeks of pandering which is the Dems strong suit.Romney
would have been well positioned to run in 2012.Biden will
destroy her in the VP debates.

Romney could use a few more years as well. One or two actually governing as a conservative without presidential aspirations might help people trust him a bit more.

He should go run for Gov of Utah or NV. Maybe he can get himself into a situation where he doesn’t need to take every position on every issue.

If he can do that and learn to stop being afraid of taking a real stand for something and stop being afraid of the media’s caricature of the ‘evil Republican’, he might be decent some day. Of course, he’s a bit old to be starting this now.

If it is her I don't think it would be a mistake. While I don't think Palin would bring very many Hillary because she is a woman voters in, she would help bring conservatives and perhaps a few libertarians who are reticent, with good reason, to vote for McCain. Both a mother and a father have duties to their children, this could hardly be considered a detriment.

Biden isn't really a very good speaker and is prone to say some incredibly stupid things. From what I have heard of Palin, she would be more than adequate against him.

As if they would not trash any other choice he made.

strange and how on earth can McCain say Obama does not have experience and yet he might pick Palin

No it's not. As soon as Obama or Biden or their cronies point out her lack of experience, McCain just throws it back at them - "You're right, an inexperienced person shouldn't be running for president. *cough*Obama*cough*

Palin will fire up the conservative base!
I would be thrilled if she gets the pick!

And in so doing, will finish their morph into mouth pieces for the Dems. Americans will see right through it and it will only HELP McCain get elected.

Let's face it. There is no way the MSM can bask in the glory of the first black candidate, and turn around and trash Sarah. They would be exposed for what they really are.

I was pulling for Romney over McCain from the beginning. That said, I think he would be a better choice because of the Michigan connection. (I live here). Everyone looks to Michigan as the poster child of the bad economy. And what do we have? A loser of a democratic governor who has driven businesses away from the state and (and this is big) a black mayor of Detroit with an ego that dwarfs Obama’s, in an incredible scandalous situation.

Romney puts both of those front and center. I’ve got nothing against Palin...but nothing for her either.

Oh, gosh I forgot about Ridge! I just breathed a sigh of relief that Joe L. is on vacation...now there’s Ridge back in the picture? I agree about Mitt...he’s way too sharp and talented to be wasted in some cabinet position. If it’s this Sarah, wonderful but I was really hoping and praying for Mitt.

When Cheney was picked, the buzzword among the MSM was ‘gravitas.’ I don’t think Palin will bring ‘gravitas’ to the ticket.

Nothing against Palin, but I agree. My big fear with Palin in the obvious pandering.

I need to see her under fire in a MTP setting.

I loathe McCain. But with Sarah on the ticket, he has my vote.

And no, hell hasn't frozen over. :)
