Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin welcomes son;(wow, gutsy !!!)
celebrity babies ^

Posted on 08/29/2008 9:07:40 PM PDT by maccaca

... Sarah, 44, had her water unexpectedly break (just a slow leak of amniotic fluid, she shared) while attending an energy conference in Texas, but checked in with her doctor, was able to stay, deliver a 30 minute speech, and then get on a plane to return to her home state in time for the delivery (which ended up needing to be induced) early this morning.

I am not a glutton for pain and punishment. I would have never wanted to travel had I been fully engaged in labor. After four kids I knew what labor felt like, and I wasn't in labor.

Sarah said that while she did not tell the pilot or flight attendants that she was 36 weeks along, she did not hide her condition either

The family initially released a statement saying that Trig has "special challenges," but did not specify what they are. However, on Monday, April 21st, they said the baby has Down Syndrome. Sarah and Todd's statement reads,

Trig is beautiful and already adored by us. We knew through early testing he would face special challenges, and we feel privileged that God would entrust us with this gift and allow us unspeakable joy as he entered our lives. We have faith that every baby is created for good purpose and has potential to make this world a better place. We are truly blessed.

In respect to Down Syndrome children you are an assh@t. I voluntarily raised my beautiful Down Syndrome step daughter, there is a waiting list to adopt Down Syndrome children. All children are a blessing from G-d.

I am so pumped up after McCain selected Palin for his VP!
I am ready to start sending money to the GOP again. Last 3 times they called for money I told them that I had no stomach for a “RINO” and would not send them any money until we had another true conservative running for office. I feel much better about McCain now and am ready to pony up the cash.

They are purposely trying to spread the rumor that her son, Trig, is NOT hers, but her 16 year old daughters, and that she's raising the son as her own.

Utter bullshit of course but if she was so what? Sounds like shes got bigger balls than most of the liberal men ala Breck Gurl.

Yep, she would be the perfect supermom if they were homeschooling on the campaign trail!

One of the greatest gifts from God is the temporary insanity which makes women forget,at least enough to not fear a repeat, the pain of childbirth.

What pain? The only pain felt when our daughter was born was by my husband -- even the doctor told me to let go of him before I strangled him :)

I don’t know the circumstances of Trigs conception. Whether he was planned or not.

He certainly was welcomed judging by his big sisters caring embrace and the way the younger sister felt the need to touch his tiny toes today.

I think he will be just fine.

...a woman who already has four children and chooses to enter a high risk pregnancy at age 44 is just plain stupid.

What an ignorant thing to say.

I am not impressed that Ms. Palin gets pleasure from shooting innocent animals.

And yet another ignorant statement.

And now he insults women with his cynical and patronizing belief that a female running mate will bring him female votes.

Three for three in the stupid column!

Both parties have fallen into the politically correct abyss. It is disgusting, and whoever wins, we are in trouble.

Wow! Congratulations on "hitting for the cycle"!

Are you always this bitter?

That’s what I said on another post. Who cares? It’s better to be a great parent than be friends with unrepentant terrorists!

Maybe they don't fish year around in Alaska...maybe there are fishing "seasons." Maybe it is he will stay with the kids. Alaska has a slower pace of life, and he probably has been a home dad for two years.

I just saw a wacked out leftist comment on a Washington Post blog claim that the baby isn't her's. That her 16 year old daughter disappeared for some time! Slime!!!

Well....statistically... Down's babies are more likely to be born to mothers over 31.....so the blogger is apparently showing his/her ignorance anyway. Don't lower your IQ by reading their trash! *chuckle*

That is no excuse for your ridiculous personal attacks and if you are having fun doing that, you’ve got one strange sense of humor.

I am glad that women are seeing through these venal and craven comments, and tackling them head on. The sour grapes and slander brigade will find themselves in hard places if they keep attacking motherhood and the choice to have a child even if they aren’t “perfect” in the shallow ,pee warm wading pool of the misogynist left wing mindset.

You know it is quite possible that this wasn’t a planned pregnancy. I have a friend who was blessed with a baby when she was 43. It was a huge surprise, as their youngest was 10 or 11, but they took it as a blessing.

I’m telling you she is just the cat’s pajamas. We are talking a politically viable Ann Coulter with ambitions.
Check my tagline.

A mother should be with her special needs child...and if she has four other children, she should be with them...not campaigning, and, certainly, not trying to be a potential President.

it's really hard some times, but i try not to play the Holy Spirit in people's lives... as a conservative Christian woman who has independent and strong leadership tendencies, i sometimes find it hard to be in that circle... i feel like i am supposed to be what is considered "traditional" all of the time--or else i must not really be a conservative Christian... all i know is, Sarah Palin speaks to me and my good friends... we cannot help but be excited...
