It is fine to take the gloves off, but there should be some veracity in the statements. Obama does not have the experience to be President, but to say that Palin does, or has more than Obama is patently absurd.

You are patently absurd.

Obama has zero executive experience. Zero. Nil. Nada. The empty set.

You must have forgotten your sarc tag......Palin has A LOT more relevant experience than OBAMA....PLUS....she’s actually got ACCOMPLISHMENTS besides “running a campaign.”

One man's "patently absurd" is another man's "absolutely brilliant".

Excuse me, but the Presidency of the United States of America is an EXECUTIVE position. And Sarah Palin has successful executive experience. Barak Obama has NONE.

I am 100% ready to have Sarah Palin be my president starting today; if so, I'd feel we got exactly what we need in a leader. On the other hand, if baraq were my president today, I'd feel we got exactly what we deserve.

Comment:

Then you agree with the AP story in this mornings Union Tribune that says while Palin was in her Senior year of college that Obama was directing a community church group thereby giving Obama more direct managerial experience.

It is all in what a person equates to real management experience.

So I taught Sunday school for senior boys down at the Baptist church and that makes me equal to my neighbor who has a Masters in Education Multiple Subjects.

However, I don't really give a Gnats butt who has the most longevity.

Obama has no business being the president of the United States.

Obama in my lowly red state opinion is nothing more than inexperienced idealistic ninny foisted on America by many whose agenda it is to destroy our American traditions.

I would disagree with the term "absurd" and suggest that the perfect word is "obvious". Whether or not you agree with Teddy Roosevelt, FDR, or Wilson on politics, you have to admit that they were as ready for the job as any presidents in our history.

Four presidents generally ranked in the top fifteen by historians have had experience comparable to Governor Palin’s prior to assuming office: Franklin Roosevelt, Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, and Grover Cleveland.

Sarah Palin spent four years as a City Council Member for Wasilla, Alaska, six years as Mayor of Wasilla, and two years as Governor of Alaska.

FDR spent just over two years in the New York State Senate, eight years as Assistant Secretary of the Navy, and four years as Governor of New York.

Theodore Roosevelt three years in the New York State Assembly, two years as Governor of New York, one year as Assistant Secretary of the Navy, and less than one year as Vice President of the United States.

Woodrow Wilson spent eight years as President of Princeton University and two years as Governor of New Jersey.

Grover Cleveland spent two years as Sheriff of Erie County, two years as Mayor of Buffalo, and two years as Governor of New York.

Overall, I’d say that Palin’s background is comparable with that of several presidents considered highly successful, even considering that her state has a smaller population than the other two states on the list.

While Obama has been running for office for as long as Palin has been running a state, I find it hard to consider the two tasks as comparable preparation.

Being a governor is executive experience.

Being a junior Senator is not.

Palin has much more experience than Obama at running a government, and she did a more effective job crafting and passing legislation - as a non-legislator - in Alaska than Obama ever did in the Illinois statehouse or the US Senate.

She knows how to do Obama's nominal job - legislating - better than he does, plus she is an effective executive.

Almost all of Obama’s time as Senator has been in running for the Presidency.

That’s experience????

What a stupid statement. Obama's executive experience, as delineated by the "One" himself, amounts to running a presidential campaign.

He is the least experienced candidate ever to get this far. And Sarah Palin's experience in Alaska is much more impressive than Barry's very, very thin resume.

Define "executive experience".....and then measure again.

I’ll let Newt answer you on that one:

—This didn’t sit well with Gingrich who strongly replied (video embedded above):

It’s stronger than Barack Obama’s. I don’t know why you guys walk around saying this baloney. She has a stronger resume than Obama. She’s been a real mayor, he hasn’t. She has been a real governor, he hasn’t. She’s been in charge of the Alaskan National Guard, he hasn’t. She was a whistleblower who defeated an incumbent mayor. He has never once shown that kind of courage. She’s a whistleblower who turned in the chairman of her own party and got him fined $12,000. I’ve never seen Obama do one thing like that. She took on the incumbent governor of her own party and beat him, and then she beat a former Democratic governor in the general election. I don’t know of a single thing Obama’s done except talk and write.

Newt then challenged Allen:

I’d like you to tell me one thing Sen. Obama’s done.

With that, Allen retreated, and said:

Thanks very much, Mr. Speaker. I’m going to leave it there. I’m not going to argue the case. Thanks very much.

I guess Obama may be qualified in a like manner to other past VP candidates. Where I grew up we would say, “Big hat, no cattle” with fellows like him that have no accomplishment at each preliminary level to their rise.

Palin is like TR in his Vice Presidency. A person of action and reform but with modest national clout.

Obama’s most telling non-accomplishment is the 130 Present votes in the State House. No one can imagine Palin in such a fop role.
