I heard Pelosi is now on board with “limited” off shore drilling and to counter that I think McCain should now come on board to opening ANWR.

The more the GOP talks about drilling (and, coincidentally, makes the election about ENERGY) the more the Rats pee their pants.

They have never for one second thought of oil in terms of anything other than environwacko terms. They do not see its significance in economics, much less in geopolitics. They were blindsided by someone talking about oil in *real* terms.

I want to see Shanklin do a parody of “Burn, Baby, Burn” that is “Drill, Baby, Drill!”

I can’t think of a chant that’s come up in recent politics that has all the myriad implications, on many diverse fundamental levels, that the chant of “Drill, baby, drill” has.

P.S. I heard that Palin was on the Glenn Beck show in the week before she was picked (?). She is said to have said that she was “working on” McCain’s views on ANWR and that he was “listening” with an open mind.

I think the ANWR revelation will not be too long in coming.
