No one seems to be asking why Joe Biden didn't become a stay-at-home dad, at least temporarily, to care for and emotionally support his two remaining and seriously injured children when their mother (his wife) and infant daughter were killed in a car accident. In Palin's case, at least, there is a father involved to help out with the child raising. I can't understand how he (Biden) could have done that.
