Well ... I suppose he's got a point, in the same sense that we can agree that the rise of the Nazi Party in Germany arose as a result of "legitimate claims" against the Treaty of Versailles.

Where problems arise, however, is when one uses those "legitimate claims" to rationalize terrorist acts ... and Obama seems to be doing that. He doesn't seem to contemplate the possibility that the Hamas and Hezbollah are violent first, and not just as a last resort.
