MSNBC said Monday that it will replace the team of Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann as anchors of its live political coverage for the rest of the presidential campaign season.
David Gregory, NBC News chief White House correspondent, will be the primary host of coverage of the presidential and vice presidential debates coming up over the next two months, as well as election night, said Phil Griffin, MSNBCs president.
The decision was first reported in Mondays editions of The New York Times and The Washington Post...

last place in ratings a success story?
A Brokaw edict?
aka... sht and stink
If NBC wanted to anything to salvage this mess, they'd have Brian Williams and Tom Brokaw as co anchors on Election Day.
Read that whole article and decide if you really want to support MSNBC (and their corporate parent, General Electric)
Gregory is also a pompous lefty suck-up.
And Chrissy and Keithy should be USED as anchors at every opportunity. I understand that Tony Soprano needs a new one for the Stugats.
Interesting, I was thinking of writing to nbc to complain about olberman ruining Sunday night football.....Will lightning strike twice?
Of course it is. Being last means as long as they are still on the air, then they are more successful in running a dying cause than the other lib media outlets. When they are gone, then the honor of being successful goes to the new bottom of the ratings outlet.
Has tingly legs gotten in the tub with Bathtub boy yet? They will be playing rub-a-dub-dub two crapweasels in a tub.
“A Brokaw edict?”
yup..I bet it was them or me..
Please be gentle on GE. I have stock in it (mainly because of their wind energy sections). Whatever happened to the support MicroSoft was giving to NBC in floating this abomination? I thought they were pulling their contribution to it.
I do not watch MSNBC. I watched the convention on CSPAN.
Most of my information comes from reading. I haven’t watched KO since the last Bush election, when I had the experience of volleying emails with KO.
He was then an immature petty little man, and from what I understand ...from reading...he still is.
ROTFLMBO!
Yep. Brokaw & Williams should be in and the two nutcases should be relegated to their own shows.
The only thing that will get any attention is boycotting GE (MSNBC’s corporate parent)

Anything sent to customer relations will get a stock reply, but might as well try it anyway. If you have some stock, dumping it never hurts.
Yeah !!!!! that’s it !!!! I got it !!!! David Gregory and how about Helen Thomas ???? Very FAIR and BALANCED coverage . No wonder I make the big bucks here .
If you are a stockowner all the better! Talk to investor relations and complain. You have a bunch more influence than appliance consumers. If they blow you off, then it is your call whether or not to support the company.
As for writing PMSNBC, that's no longer an issue for me, since I haven't subscribed to cable since 2006. I got fed up with subsidizing Liberal crap and getting raped in the pocketbook for nearly $50 per month.
Enough is enough.
On Fox, Major Garrett is an OBAMA BATHWATER DRINKER!! What is up with him?? It’s quite telling.....Obama is his guy!!
