Suddenly, McCain/Obama battle over lipstick -- Porky's or Palin's
LA Times ^ | 9/10/2008 | Andrew Malcom

Posted on 09/10/2008 2:19:20 AM PDT by markomalley

Boy! Or girl! For a presidential race where three of the four major candidates are of the male persuasion, they're spending an awful lot of time talking about lipstick.

Another measure perhaps of how the addition of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to the political mix in the Republican's No. 2 spot has shaken things up on both sides in just 12 days.

Democratic presidential nominee illinois Senator Barack Obama making a speaking point recently--without lipstick

New polls out yesterday showed a 20-point swing in support of white women away from the Barack Obama-Joe Biden Democratic ticket over toward the John McCain-Palin package, attributed largely to the blast of fresh air and down-to-earthness brought by the surprise presence of the 44-year-old reform governor and mother of five.

Today, Obama walked into some Republican machine-gun fire when he appeared to echo Palin's lipstick line from her widely viewed and quoted convention speech last week.

The self-described hockey mom ad libbed a joke in response to audience cheers from Alaska women: "You know what the difference is between a hockey mom and a pit bull?" she asked, pausing perfectly. "Lipstick!"

It was one of the best-received lines of the night and widely quoted and replayed for days afterward.

Today, campaigning in Lebanon, Va., and complaining about the GOP ticket portraying itself as agents of change, Obama (see video below) said ...

... "You can put lipstick on a pig. But it's still a pig."

Web browsers could almost hear a gasp of disbelief online.

Could Obama be so stupid as to imply that his newest opponent is like a barnyard animal, this candidate they've tried to portray as an inexperienced lightweight from a rural area who seems to increasingly preoccupy Obama's monologues instead of the GOP's top candidate?

“yes, he could be so stupid”

And, yes, he and his aides will now complain that the defection of so many of “his white women” is racist even though his misogynist remarks—starting with hillary—have put him in “that” position now. LOL Nobody ever said self proclaimed community organizers had to have a brain.

Huh, even the LA Times is taking him to task on it.

The way this one looks to me is he’s either obnoxious or clueless. Neither is good for him.

I did a quick Google search on psychological problems in men raised by single mothers. OMG.

I am beginning to think that Obie has series anger issues with women as a result of his upbringing. Gov Palin is going to force him over a cliff. Maybe it is Barak who will have the Eagleton moment.

Maybe he also has some anger issues from his days with Frank Davis.

If they do eject him it will shatter the democrats for years to come.

Remember, this is the guy who gave Hillary the finger on TV. The crowd whooped and hollared about that one too. Obama’s supporters are as uncouth as he is.

I am really going to enjoy watching this guy lose.

... and in an Obama presidency you won't have one without the other.

This was just the “Gaffe of the Day” for Tuesday. This guy is a loose canon and that fact is starting to settle in on the MSM. How about “New Pennsylvania”? That was a beauty. The Nittaly Lions? Ditto. I can hardly wait for today’s edition.

Palin had dang near made lipstick a trademark in this campaign with the quip “whats the difference between a pitbull and a hockey Mom?~Lipstick”

Either Barama is a complete doofus who cant see that, and is unworthy of the world stage or he is a petty mean spirited misogynistic prick.

Pick yer poison Barama!

I am beginning to think that Obie has series anger issues with women as a result of his upbringing

It's his upbringing and environment. Obama has wallowed in ghetto culture, like Rev. Wright's church, for decades. Anyone listening to rap music knows that hostility to women ("hoes") pervades rap, perhaps because so many young black males grow up in fatherless households. There's also the fact that Obama has spent all his adulthood among indulgent and cheering throngs of leftists, being rewarded for his anti-American beliefs.

These three YouTubes show a nasty little trick that Barack Obama incorporated into his stump speech back when he was getting hammered in the Democrat Debates. He did this time after time, and denied it afterwards.

Obama Gives Hillary The Finger

Obama Gives Hillary Clinton "The Finger"?

Obama gives Hillary the finger!

These are three different clips of three different speeches. This was his standard stump speech. Still he denied it. The reporters following his campaign saw him do this over and over again, and they accepted his denial.

Now he denies this. But note the hooting and hollering from the crowd after the "lipstick on a pig" remark. They know full well what Obama was talking about, and so do we.

This man clearly has a problem.

“Obama’s Audio Book May Hurt Him”
Tuesday, July 8, 2008 8:30 AM
By: Jim Meyers

ARTICLE SNIPPET: “The abridged audio version of the book was released in May 2005 after Obama entered the Senate. It won the 2006 Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album, but contains passages that opponents could now use against the candidate in the presidential race, according to Politico.

For example, in recalling his high school days in Hawaii, Obama declares: “I kept playing basketball, attended classes sparingly, drank beer heavily, and tried drugs enthusiastically … If the high didn’t solve whatever it was that was getting you down, it could at least help you laugh at the world’s ongoing folly.””
