Andrea: Let me say something about his message management. He didn’t have reporters with him. He didn’t have a press pool. He didn’t do a press conference while he was on the ground either on Afghanistan or Iraq. What you’re seeing is not reporters brought in, you’re seeing selected pictures taken by the military, questioned by the military and what some would call fake interviews because they’re not interviews with a journalist so there’s a real press issue here. Politically it’s smart as can be, but we’ve not seen a Presidential candidate do this in my recollection ever before.

This is funny! Can this be a start of a COMIC Section for the Jason Blair Gazette?

Arrogance.

This comes from a newspaper renowned for its inaccuracies and losing tons of readers and piles of money.

They have earned the loathing they are getting.

The public understands the sale of the Alaska governor's jet. It was a luxury the state could not afford.

It wasn't just the capital cost but the enormous operating and maintenance costs of owning a jet aircraft Governor Palin eliminated. Getting rid of the jet saved millions of dollars in fuel and maintenance costs that would accumulate quickly over a fairly short period of time.

I forgot to mention that most jets require a crew of two pilots who also have to be on the state payroll, sitting around waiting for the governor to decide to take another flight.

She shouldn’t meet with any Newspaper, radio or TV station that took part in the ugly stories, rumors and lies that have been put out since she was named. McCain was great when he told Larry King to stuff it. This wouldn’t cost them one vote, these clowns are going to slam them right up to election day regardless of interviews.

It is well past time for Sarah Palin, Republican running mate, governor of Alaska and self-proclaimed reformer The New York Times, to fill in for the voting public subscribers the gaping blanks about her record and qualifications to be vice president truth about its far left agenda. The best way to do that would be exactly what the NYT campaign of John McCain is avoiding — an honest news conference editorial.

Dutifully corrected.

If only the New York Times had subjected Obama to such tough, relentless questioning. They're hypocrites on the subject of political accountability!

How about filling us in on the gaping blanks in Obama's record and life story. And sharing with the American people his qualifications to be President? Sarah Palin has nothing to hide. Obama does but the NYT pretends he has this halo. They're as partisan as open day and the American people know it!

unloaded it later to a businessman for a $600,000 loss.

Probably cost a lot more than that, just to park that bird.
