The buzz begins: Will Joe Biden be dumped off ticket?

Will Sen. Joe Biden be dropped from the Democratic Party ticket before Election Day?

Television pundits, talk radio personalities and blogs have been buzzing with speculation about a last-minute VP switch for the party.

On Fox's "Hannity & Colmes" last night, Sean Hannity asked Gov. Ed Rendell, D-Pa., "Will they replace Biden with Hillary?"

Rendell replied, "No, absolutely not. Joe Biden is here to stay. Next vice president of the United States."

However, according to recent polls, Biden's popularity is not as high as Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin. Results from a CNN/Opinion Research Corp. national survey released yesterday have Obama and McCain virtually tied – Obama has 49 percent while McCain has 48 percent. But Sarah Palin has surged ahead of Biden on popularity with 55 percent to his 44 percent. Her favorability rating is also 6 percent higher.

Following Sen. Joe Biden's recent statement that Hillary Clinton might have been a better choice for Obama's running mate, a popular online trading exchange website is taking wagers on whether Biden will be withdrawn from the ticket.

“The media also made a big deal of Biden supposedly never drinking alcohol.”

Well of course Obama doesn't drink alcohol ... no devout Muslime drinks alcohol. Case closed.

Hey, I can dream, can't I? Of course, the fly in the ointment is Obama being the President.

Even the Clintons in jail is not worth an Obama presidency, which I have come to believe could truly be the end of our nation as we know it.

Joe Biden is a nice guy

He presided over the attempt to lynch Clarence Thomas.

Hmmm...I seem to remember the media in full blown hysteria that “ McCain did not properly vett Palin.”
Because she had a daughter “ in trouble.”
Or perhaps because she had one of those imperfect babies that the Democrats love to hate.
If Barry suddenly casts Biden overboard he’s going to look weak and panicked.
Like he already does.
And everyone remembers Giuliani’s great line about Biden getting “ that VP thing in writing.”
If the Democrats had any brains-they would dump Obama.

So Silly. Obama is going to admit that his first big choice was a mistake, but he will do better as POTUS?

Oh, he would never admit that. Biden would drop out claiming medical issues or some such.

Dumping Biden now would be political suicide.

Plugs already is committing a very public suicide when he speeks about Hillary being a better choice for VP. What he said, in so many words, is the "boss was wrong to pick me". I wonder how quickly Plugs was taken to the woodshed after that comment...

Good Grief! One would think I hadn't had enough coffee today. My post was supposed to read:

In order to dump Biden, Obama would have to admit he made a mistake and we all know that the self proclaimed Messiah doesn't make mistakes.

It sounded to me like Biden thinks Hillary will be the candidate in November and he wants to be under her if it happens.

Whatever happened to the eligibility lawsuit?

Savage’s incessant babbling about his dog may be an indication he’s gone ‘round the bend. It’s bad enough he’s a lousy talk show host. His desires for callers, whom he berates when their views don’t coincide with his, sometimes borders on beggary. His self glowing excerpts from his books are really annoying. Maybe being cooped up in the capital of fruit and nut land has finally snapped his spring.

It’s being handled by Larry Nichols.

They will make it last minute alright so whoever it is doesn't have to debate Sarah. Hussein can't handle the light of truth that Palin emits.

“I think at this point hillary will tell Nobama to stuff it. “

I think you are right. Hillary does not want to be anywhere near that sinking ship. She will be as far away as possible when the the Obama campaign collapses.

In less than 3 weeks?

Guess someone cannot laugh away his gaffe over the guy in the wheelchair.

But I think he is easy to beat, and that Nobama still has to prove his birth certificate.

ROTFLMAO RED IN THE FACE ASTHMA ATTACK CAN'T STAND UP. However, it is partially true. Reliable reports have come in that between the hours of 3 and 4:00AM on last Tuesday, he hardly had a drop.

As a member of Republican’s to Save Biden’s Candidacy, I must object. Listen, he’s clean, articulate, and his IQ is very very high. We need this man to help and support Obama. Let him ride the Amtrac to victory!

Someone suggest our group be renamed “Follicles for Freedom”. But we need the class and dignity due to our good friend, Joe.

You too can join Republican’s to Save Biden’s Candidacy. It’s just a matter of asking yourself, do you really want to lose this American treasure?
