Hockey moms in Minnesota, I guess. :)

That might just explain it!

Oh, to win Minnesota...that would just ROCK!

Maybe even Lake Wobegon will go GOP!

Steve, thanks as always for the ping!

ALL: This is BIG news. I spent 47 years here in Mn. The State is moderately blue, with the old DFL (Democratic Farmer-Labor) that is LOCK-STEP Democratic ticket and most of them have Cement in their heads and WILL NOT vote for any other Party, period.

Then there’s the Wellstone Dems. Strong vocally, but can get disgruntled easily & not show up to vote.

The Women vote and the “momentum voters” (you know, if the BAseball team does good, everyone is a Fan...) will probably sway it towards tipping the Electorate to McCain/Palin.

Hopefully I explained it well everyone & Steve.... (?)

How did Hillary do in MN? Those voters may be the key to this election.

The name I heard mentioned for Lieberman’s seat is ex-Congressman Rob Simmons. And I wouldn’t put it past the rodents to change the rules that even if the GOP gets a majority, they can’t organize once the session has begun. They cheat and steal whenever they can. In my state over the weekend, despite getting a majority of the vote, the Dems decertified the renomination of Rosalind Kurita, a State Senator who courageously voted with the GOP to oust a nearly 90-year old feeble leader who had been the longest serving leader of a legislative body in U.S. history (36 straight years) and organize the body last year and elect a Republican Senate Speaker for the first time since the late 1860s (not 1960s, 1860s). The rodents installed a flunky hack who failed to oust her. The GOP has no candidate for the general, but we’re going to see about giving the lady the nomination if at all possible.

My worry are those numbers. Creepy Al got more votes than Coleman did.

Eh, she did ok here in Mn. Not a favorite though. She doesn’t resonate well with “Minnesotans”.

The F-L Party had a number of card carrying Communists at the time of the merger. Hubert Humphrey ran the Communists out of the DFL ( a little factoid to make moonbat heads explode. I might mention that to David Thune, then run like h3!!). They’re baaaaaaack!

I think we’ll win NH, but am less optimistic about NM.

I wouldn’t write off SD just yet, second-tier opponent or not. You never know whether McCain/Palin voters (which will get around 60% of the vote despite the Obama boomlet earlier this year) will indeed vote for a liberal Democrat like Tim Johnson just because he had an incapacitating stroke.

If we win NH, I’ll be very surprised. Sununu ought to tie Shaheen to Che Porter and the radical Dems that hijacked the NH gov’t in 2006.

As for SD, that doesn’t even seem to be registering on the radar screen. It makes little sense for the Dakotas to be sending rodents to DC when they’re top heavy with Republican majorities in state office, yet they continue to do so. If Johnson gets less than 60%, I will be again, very surprised. Personally, I think Rounds may be waiting for Johnson to die (given that near-fatal stroke, if he makes it another 6 years, that will be quite a feat) so he can have himself appointed. I still wish he had run this year, instead.
