If Governor Palin is wearing so thin, then why are the crowds turning out to see her growing increasingly large?Good point, but Palin seems to have appeal to conservative Republicans. I am looking for evidence she's maintained her appeal beyond the base. I see large crowds for Obama, too.

First, Palin is the VP on ticket, which is usually ignored.
(Joe "Walking Gaffe" Biden certainly is. Look at the union shirts in the crowd.
Second, didn't Obama give hotel and travel vouchers for his supporters in California to travel to Elko, NM to swell the size of the crowd there?
Palin's enthusiastic crowds are genuine.
