I think Griff was fairly close with Tony. He was very broken up on-air the weekend after he passed.

A couple years ago when Tony invited a bunch of us FReepers to visit him at Fox Studios, surferboy was there most of the time. I think he was Tony's radio show producer. Both men spoke so lovingly about their family and I think Griff wife had just had a baby.
