Listening to John Batchelor on WABC and John Fund from the WSJ. The Paulson bailout bill has language that is staggering; along the lines of: "Decisions made under this bill are non-reviewable by any entity." This would make the secretary of the Treasury the most powerful man in government with respect to finance. They also question whether we are actually in as bad an economic crisis as everyone is saying. Finally, they say this helps Obama in the short term as McCain went through the week flailing around on the issue.
What is really disturbing is the language in the proposed fix that gives too much power to the SecTreas. Mark Levin on Friday said government taking actions like this was socialism (something Obama no doubt will applaud).
Worse than socialism re: power Paulson would have. Did you notice Obama made it known Paulson will have a place in his administration? This is truly disgusting... it’s time for these same jerks to get behind bars , be tried for subversion/treason or give me some jail time for gettin’ rid of em. Enough.
