My problem with the initial estimate was that I checked a few other sites and found them mentioning huge crowds, but they were talking in the 30 to 40 thousand range (these were people blogging from the event)...and when I went to the link on the original post, my firewall went crazy. I got multiple virus alerts...so I was wondering if someone was “using” the site to attract hits by posting a large number. I’ve since read the number was downsized some. I know it’s possible for that many people to be there, and I’d be thrilled that there were that many, it’s just that the source of the reporting set off alarms because of the virus alerts from that site.
