You know they say a picture says a thousand words.......And Rush says we should learn to read between the lines (or ask what didn't they say)....

Well with that in mind, I've learned to look for the void between the people in the pictures.

There was a meeting in PA with O'bomber and some of his supporters about two weeks ago set in a round table sort of way.......actually it was three rows of chairs surrounding O'bomber while he waxed on and on....they were mostly old gray haired white guys and ...when you saw the pics on FOX there couldn't have been more than 50 of them total....but if you skipped to CNN it looked like there where hundreds because the shot was soooooo tight.

Karl Rove was saying last night that the first debate is going to be big, in terms of creating impression and gaining points in the polls.

How I would love to hear McCain offer some alternative to the proposed bailout of all these failed financial institutions currently under consideration. At least something along the lines of going after those that benefitted so greatly FIRST, before placing some additional tax burdens on those of us who DID NOTHING WRONG! He needs to make a statement on Friday!

I saw one thing during the primaries where O was on a big stage in a convention center and it looked packed. Then a second shot from further back was shown, and they had all the people in the front, and up in the balconies in CAMERA SHOT RANGE. The rest of the place was empty!!! There weren’t a few hundreds people there, if that.

Palin is the secret weapon... beacuse she’s a CONSERVATIVE who energized the CONSERVATIVE base. McCain has resurfaced with his tired liberal platitudes, and has once again depressed the base.

It all comes down to which side can motivate the most people to show up at the polls. There's only so much that Knock and Drag tactics can accomplish.

Why O will lose PA, WI and possibly MN and MI.

Even dems agree that 20% will not vote for him. I did a little research. Took the number of votes in those states in 2004.

Actual votes
PA- Bush 2,793,847 Kerry 2,938,095
WI- Bush 1,478,120 Kerry 1,489,504
MN- Bush 1,346,695 Kerry 1,445,014
MI- Bush 2,313,746 Kerry 2,479,183

Then, I reduced Kerry’s votes just by 10%. See how it looks now

PA- McCain 2,793,847 Obama 2,644,286
WI- McCain 1,478,120 Obama 1,340,554
MN- McCain 1,346,695 Obama 1,300,513
MI- McCain 2,313,746 Obama 2,231,265

John McCain will win all these 4 states narrowly. Add to this the Bradley effect. Looks good to me.

Agreed.....I think they are dangerously underestimating McCain because O’bomber is such a “gifted” orator....

Well debates aren't about oratory ...they're about getting answers and I expect to here alot of uuummmm’s and ahhhhhhh's and a lot of nuanced answers without real substance...

Combine that with the current climate of the bailout and you have people who are going to be PRE-wired to look for answers not platitudes and generalities.

It's like a ticking time bomb....just waiting to go off.

Yeah, saw that too.....I bet they had to filter out the background noise of the chirping of “Crickets”.

Perhaps they are getting up to speed for the debates.

Clinton won CO in ‘92 and lost it in ‘96.

Look at how far back these polls go - September 14. That puts the full weight of polling at the start of the financial crisis against McCain.

Those numbers are amazing. Considering the margin of error, they are, for all intents and purposes, tied! In the last few election cycles, the Dems were ahead in the polls around this time.

These polls are OLD.

They go back to the economic crisis starting Sep 15th which favored Obama.

Sarah HAS been out there, with McCain, and on her own! The other day, apparently she said something about a Palin-McCain administration, and the MSM went running to McCain, hoping to hear him chastise her. He apparently said something like, whatever wins votes was fine with him. He doesn’t need to swallow any pride; he’s proud to have her with him.

Show me one poll (recent) where Palin’s net favorability is higher than that of McCain.

I have a feeling you will be looking for a long time.

Face it...I love Palin. But she isn’t doing well with independents anywhere outside of Alaska, I don’t understand why but thats what the data is telling me.
