The Obama Campaign today continued its strategy of denial and obfuscation when it comes to burying the close and long-standing political alliance between their candidate and the former terrorist Bill Ayers.
The latest episode emerged in response to an article by conservative writer Stanley Kurtz in the Wall Street Journal on the Chicago Annenberg Challenge. Kurtz argues, as I have, that it is clear to anyone who pays a moment's attention to the Challenge that Ayers recruited Obama to serve on and chair the board of the Challenge.
But logic fails the Obama campaign. They issued a statement in response to Kurtz that said, in part:
"Ayers had nothing to do with Obama’s recruitment to the Board. Barack Obama was encouraged to run for Chair by Deborah Leff, with whom he served on another board, recommended by Pat Graham, and elected by the bipartisan founding board members: Susan Crown, Pat Graham, Stanley Ikenberry, Ray Romero, Arnold Weber, and Wanda White."
To suggest that Bill Ayers had "nothing" to do with the recruitment of Obama to the board beggars belief.
Does anyone know if Barry was paid for this Chairmanship?
Was it a position where they met once a month? once a week?
I’ve read all the Kurtz articles, but I don’t understand his position.
The other question is where did Obama get the millions that he is supposedly worth? He has never held a regular job and being a US Senator doesn’t pay that kind of money. Same goes for Biden. Who has been paying these guys?

Book sales + Chicago-style “bonuses” + Michelle’s promotion to VP, which tripled her 6 figure salary.
As almost every (liberal or conservative) Chicagoan knows, Michele’s promotion was a quid pro quo. We also know that Illinois state senators (like Emil Jones - BHO’s mentor) develop a remarkable amount of net worth despite relatively low pay. The Chicago Machine has worked that way for over 50 years.
Liberals used to protest The Democratic Machine when the original Mayor Daley was in charge, but Richie got their support (and that of the local media, of course) from the beginning. Go figure!
Funny thing about Michelle’s job. Nobody at the hospital could explain what she did. And after she left, the position was never refilled.
Are all you Freepers aware that while Obama was completing his degree at Columbia in 1982-83, Bill Ayers was attending Bank Street College from which he graduated with a Masters in Early Childhood Education in 1984?
Bank Street College is less than a quarter of a mile from Columbia, and they collaborate on courses.
We know, from his own writings, that Obama “was drawn to foreign students, Marxist professors, and punk poets”. One such professor was Edward Said, who was also an associate of Bill Ayers.
It is inconceivable, given their concentric politics, and Ayers’ penchant for recruiting black radicals, that they did not meet in the two years they were studying within a quarter mile of each other.
Is this why Obama won’t release his transcript from Columbia? Does it reveal a tie to Ayers? Were they classmates? Did they perhaps even live together or close to each other?
If this theory is correct then an awful lot of other dots fall into place.
Where did Obama go on graduation? Not home to Hawaii - he went to........Chicago!
Where did he meet his wife? At a job with a law firm where Bernadine Dorhn worked and Bill Ayers’ father had influence.
How did he insert himself into the Chicago political structure so easily? As Kurtz asks “who sent him”?
As Kurtz surmises correctly - it was Ayers, but I believe he did it much earlier than Kurtz thinks.
All this requires more investigation. I realize I have floated some theories here that I cannot prove, but they do make logical sense.
The real question for Obama regarding all this is “why should we even need to speculate”?
What is he hiding?
Why won’t he answer the questions?
If he won’t answer the questions he disqualifies himself as a Presidential candidate.
I was already aware of the close propinquity among Ayers, Obama, and Dohrn in the early ‘80’s at Columbia.
Furthermore, the Weather Underground still existed at that time, and members were known to have lived and been active at Columbia.
It is possible that Hussein was himself a “Weatherman,” hence his concealing and downplaying his activities and records from his days at Columbia.
I think FNC should host a special show dedicated to exposing obama’s ties to Ayers. Have a round table discussion with Steve Diamond, Kurtz and get this thing out there. It will take more than 5 minutes to explain his ties to this terrorist.

She highest priority is always how she can grease the chicago political machine. Michelle’s job was a pay off. I know people who were officed next to Michelle’s. She was never there.
