I might be mis-remembering (is that a word?), but I do think I read that if dems want to skew polls their way this is one of their methods. If they called during a 3- or 4-hour window on Sunday mornings, depending on time zones, they would get less imput from religious voters. It actually makes a lot of sense.

I don't know. Don't Democrats also go to church on Sundays? Maybe not as many as Republicans, but it isn't like only Republicans attend church on Sunday. Or maybe nonreligious Democrats run errands on Sundays during churchgoing hours. I just don't see this as a significant factor.

Yeah, these polls are just insane. Why people — and I’m one of them, I confess — get so wrapped up in them is just ridiculous. Up one second, down the next.

I believe all of this is attributable to his move to suspend the campaign and go back to work. Like I said yesterday when I first saw this, it was a move born of pure genius. It perfectly ties in with his campaign pledge of putting “Country First”.

Rick Davis has called for a series of Hail Mary passes in the 4th quarter of the game and scored a TD on each of them.

[McCain was pretty crafty here - he knew his debate positive performance at Friday’s debate would get overshadowed (intentially dismissed) by the media propagandists carping about the economy.]

You are exactly right. McCain has brilliantly brought more attention to the debate and at the same time lowered expectations on himself since the obamabots and obamedia are playing the line that McCain is scared to debate Obama.

My sense is that outlier lib polls are deliberate and intended to do exactly what they did, pull up the average for Hussein.

Gallup polls in the evening, that would have been AFTER McCain announced his going back to Washington.

As I keep telling my Dem friends, Hillary would be up by 10% at this point. The fact that the Messiah is still below 50% in most of the major polls spells trouble.

I don’t know... just something I’d read and passing on.

Frankly, though, judging by people in my workplace, the dems really don’t go to church nearly as much as the conservatives, as a rule. They talk about browsing through the Sunday newspaper, taking kids to sports events, visiting Disneyland, shopping, etc.

A six point one day shift in a 3-day rolling poll????

How so? Yesterday it was Obama up by 3, today it's tied. Sounds like a 3 point move to me.

22 through 24th.... only reflects a little bit of polling after the announcement.

Obambi got an undeserved bounce when the voters blamed the GOP for the financial meltdown. Now that word is slowly leaking out that the ‘Rats were the primary culprits, Obambi’s bounce has faded. Add in McCain trumping Obambi by returning to the Senate, leaving the manchild twisting in the wind like the clueless whiner he is, and things should start to turn around.

Good summary. The old media instantly tried to hang the crisis on Republicans, and it's taking a while for the truth to undermine that initial perception.

Off topic, but can anyone in NC tell me their opinion of the Rasmussen poll that was released today? I’m thinking it’s an outlier as of now.
