i just got out of my college investment class.
the teacher bashed palin again.
You should ask why your professor is so obsessed with Palin. Then ask her/him to just teach the subject matter at hand because you are paying good money for an education and not political opinion.
That's okay...just be ready to sneak a bottle of Pepto Bismal on his podium.......when O'bomber looses on Nov. 4th
You'll get a really good laugh out of it and it can be your "public"...private joke......tee, hee, hee, hee!
the teacher bashed palin again.
She’s going to be the next vice-president of the United States.
Have you told her/him you didn’t pay tuition to hear her/his political positions?
I told a Bush-bashing Calc professor (no blood for oil type) years back when the war in Iraq had just begun that if he could prove his political opinion had an iota to do with calculus then I’d love to hear more. If he couldn’t then I’d prefer to get my politics from reputable sources.
Ended up in the Dean’s office two days later when the professor told me in front of the class “you will never pass this course” though I had a 97% average on my tests. Luckily I was not attending a college where the dean didn’t put up with professors threatening students.
For the rest of the semester the professor refused to assist me in anyway but I still walked out with an A thanks to other students who stood up for me and formed a study group.
You do not have to put up with professors spending your money to give lectures on their political beliefs, just understand that standing up for yourself (or a politician) can have ramifications.
I think that you should inform him that you are not paying high tuition rates to listen to his political diatribe. You may want to send a message to the department chair especially if others are willing to participate. You should not be afraid to provide feedback to your professor. He is demostrating unprofessional behavior and detracting from the presentation of important ideas.
