McCain should just say - “Senator Obama, a bracelet on your wrist doesn’t mean anything if you don’t bother visiting our troops when your in Europe. Your bracelet doesn’t mean anything if you’d make their sacrifice meaningless by turning our victory in Iraq into a defeat by pulling out too soon. I’ve worn this bracelet for a long time, and it reflects my lifelong commitment to your troops, and my empathy and understanding for their sacrifice to out country. You’ve worn that bracelet for a short time, Mr. Obama, and frankly, I think it is a good symbol for you as well, it reflects that fact that you wear your commitment to our troops on your sleeve.
Send that to the McCain campaign...brilliant posting!!
I give thanks that there are such fine men and women like SGT Jopek willing to protect us.
And I wish I had words to comfort SGT Jopek's mom... like many parent's, with each deployment, I pray my son returns unharmed.
You should be a McCain campaign advisor.
That is the smartest. most effective comeback for the bracelet issue I’ve seen.
Please forward it to the campaign.
