There are probably better than half the citizenry now voting to protect handouts, and perceived handouts, that they believe they will receive. Most of them don’t even understand fully what Socialism is. Just don’t ask them to give something to the system, as that is not fair.

The politicians move in the direction of giving voters what they want. Half the politicians probably don’t fully understand where this is going. But they promise to increase and protect those handouts, as that is where the voters are.

The only way to change this is to limit voting to the “payers”. The “net recipients” have a conflict of interest and are not voting in the best long term interests of the country, or themselves.

We will become the same as Europe, if we survive.

And, the media is obviously not helping. Hey, reporters, want to rebel, speak truth to power! And the power is now on the left. Worldwide.

Used to be only property owners got to vote in this Republic. Gradual changes toward a Democracy has brought everyone (even the dead) a vote. And the argument for it is of course fairness. Try telling the squatters of this country they no longer have a vote and you'll see the Communist Party USA become the overt and accepted political power it has until now not attained.

I agree! By changing over to The Fair TAX" that would make everyone "payers". No more IRS. No more income tax. No more embedded tax. No more corporate tax. No capitol gains tax. No more death tax / inheritance tax. No more marriage penalty tax.

Everyone, no matter what income level from whatever source would patricipate in and contribute to and have an investment in the "system". Everyone would pay into the government...NOT just receive from it.
