This is not even a 1% decline. In 1987 the Dow lost 25% in one day. The market is having a temper tantrum and will get over it.

This is a 4-1/2% drop. It ain't the end of the freaking world.
Has all of the major media been taken over by a bunch of half wit bedwetters?

Retirement plans, 401ks, etc took a hit but with some luck and some time they may recoup.

Dow dropped by 508 points to 1739 (22.6%).
I think we’ll be fine.

BFD. It is a paper loss, nothing more. As soon as a bill is passed, there will be paper gains to make up for them.

I was watching Sheppard Smith after the no vote. What a drama queen. His mascara was running.

And monkeys may fly out of my a##.
This is only the start. Wait till the panic hits Asia and then Europe.

This was a 6.98% drop. It wasn’t the largest percentage drop ever, but it’s certainly enough to make someone sit up and pay attention.

Asia is quite likely to take a dump this evening and Europe is sure to follow. It will be interesting to see the DJIA in the morning. It would seem to me that it would drop more, but it’s not out of the question that it could rebound.
South American markets went down between 2 and 8% after the bail out bill failed to pass.

In all fairness, Cavuto on Fox made it a point to note that this drop didn’t even make the top 10 list of *percentage* drops in the DOW, at something like 6%.
Back in 1987, there was a 25% drop in the DOW.
To: BGHater
27.5% loss since hitting its high last year. That is a serious correction. I expect it will get a lot worse when earnings are announced in the next two-three quarters. I say DOW down another 20% before this is all over.
