Nope.

This is the problem the Democrats don’t realize they have. Obama is Jimmy Carter 2.0. His economic plan is going to make recession depression. His Energy plan is the same 1978 fantasy the Democrats used to create the Dept of Energy.

Obama is not FDR 2, he Jimmy Carter 2.0. Bush is Ford 2, not Hoover.

I wish we would stop this hand wringing and second guessing. You guys are causing me to stress eat and I don’t need to gain weigh. ;) I have gained 4 pounds in one month,

We will be fine if we work hard.

The reason that Dole lost in 1996, was that he tired to be someone he wasn’t. Let McCain be McCain. He chose Palin, he is capable of doing the right thing.

I think McCain needs to talk more about earmarks.
And be more bipartisan.

This, too, shall pass.

If Obamanazi wins: Accept that God is allowing our country to become an Obmamnation. After 50 million murders of unborn babies, maybe its time. Look for our enemies to be emboldened, resumption of terrorist attacks, the spread and institutionalization of homosexuality, institutionalization of socialism and a resulting economic depression, resumption of the Fairness Doctrine and silencing of conservative talk, and escalation of thought control from kindergarten on up. That's just for starters. Also look for a re-mobilization of Clintonista-era militia camps springing up in outlying areas all over the country, armed and ready for what could be a bloody civil war. Our country could disappear. We desperately need a spiritual revival.

Other than that, we’ll be OK.

I don't. Newt latest publication indicates his Alzheimer's is worse then previously noted.

“He will be going in office as the Savior, FDR II. The entire mess will be blamed on Bush, and the economy will naturally recover over time as it always does. He will get the credit simply for being in the right place at the right time.”

There really is no telling who history will blame. FDR got credit for leading us out of the Depression even though we didn’t fully recover until ten years after his death!

Why even have an election, lets just let the media take a poll.

The exit polls showed Kerry won, I saw him on ORielly tonight, he looked madder than ever because of the defeat today by forces he could not control — The people.

This is September 29th. It ain't ‘96. Obama ain't Clinton. He doesn't have a doupble digit lead and he ain't over 50% nationaly.

We have 3 more debates (hopefully in more prime time viewing nights) with the next being more wildcards that the podium venues.

If this were October 20th I'd be worried. A month is an eternity in an election, especial a (still) close one like this. McCain needs to take charge of this bailout crap and lead the Pubbies and the nation to their salvation NOW!

Actually, despite all the recent drama, McCain is still holding or basically tied in the critical states he needs...OH, FL, MO, and within MOE for VA and CO...also within MOE of NH as well. That’s all McCain needs to win.

“The media’s “You’re a racist” gig must be working. LOL!”

Today I’m sitting with a bunch of libs at lunch, and one says:

“If Obama loses, the ONLY explanation is that we’re a bunch of racists who won’t vote for a black.”

There you go.

“McCain has it in his power to level the commie on multiple levels. He f’kd up on the bailout to date, but he can recover if he listens to the right people.”

Let’s hope he doesn’t listen to campaign aides like Charlie Black (from GHWB in ‘92 fame).

If the people of this country are stupid enough to fall for Obama....any fallout is deserved....I’ll probably move to Alaska.

Thinking of moving there myself. You know... in all seriousness, Sarah Palin running for VP has sparked a LOT of interest in Alaska.

Newt WAS in charge and completely blew it. The Republicans have sold our country down the river. If they do reappear, in what form will true American Conservatives arrive on the scene in politics, education and the media?

I try to be good but this same hand-wringing cropped up in 2004 as well. People squeeking at every poll that showed Pres. Bush behind. What else is the media going to tell you, People?! You’ll never see a poll on election day showing the republican candidate in the lead even though they win when all the votes are counted.

McCain had Zero on the run, then the media started whining about how "sleazy" and mean McCain's camp was being, so McCain had the stupidity to let up.

Here's a tip, John: When your opponent starts complaining because your campaign is too negative, it's because your strategy is working!

“I'll probably move to Alaska.”

I remember reading polls like this before. We see that our guy is losing and hope that the polls are somehow wrong. But, these are averages of a bunch of polls done repeatedly. Darn, it looks bad for McCain.

I was really hoping to see Sarah in the White House. That would be hilarious.

Moving to Alaska might be desirable when you figure that people hunt and fish for food — so you are not as dependent on the economy. After Obama ushers in the Second Great Depression and the nukes start falling, Alaska may be out of the fall out zone.

I hear that Sitka is nice — mild climate.
