“And there ain’t gonna be any republic in 4 years when Obama gets done with the courts”

And, you think that McCain will be different?

I agree, but I am afraid it is too late, the election is lost. I’ll keep my back window of my truck full of McCain stickers, and the posters in my yard, but I think he lost with that vote on the bailout. He should have fought tooth and nail to educate the people on how that thing really happened.dim-0s did it, and now they’re winning the election because of it. McCain did get one thing exactly right, life aint fair.

Yes, sanity is needed, else we look like moonbats the minute that McCain-Palin took a lead after our convention. Here's some things to remember:

1. McCain's been through a tough two weeks, the MSM has tried hard to pin the blame on him for the economic bad news that has been pouring out like never before. Yes, he voted for the bailout, but it might well have been to neutralize Barry on the issue, since he voted for it, too.

There's still a decent possibility that it will fail in the House, and then it will look like "good cop, bad cop". Even if the legislation passes, it will be better than the Rats would have written on their own, because President Bush was willing to sign ANYTHING at this point, even if it had ACORN in it. By slowing down the process, John McCain can rightfully take credit for that.

2. Sarah Palin's had a really tough two weeks, as well. She's been off the campaign trail for significant periods of time while preparing for both the debate, and for the 'gotcha' interviews that she's had to give. The MSM is only too happy to run the worst parts of those interviews over and over, they've never cited a single thing she's said when being interviewed by Sean Hannity. In the last two weeks, the very sharpest knives have come out against her, the libs are scared to death of her even more than Barry frightens us. We know that he will be a bumbler if he ever got the job of President, and they know she has a natural constituency that can be motivated to support her stands on issues even if she is only the VP.

When this debate is over, and she comes up better than the low expectations that the mushy middle have been taught to have for her, she'll be back on the campaign trail, drawing huge audiences who will respond just to defeat the media's character assassination of her.

3. Rezko is singing like a bird, even if he doesn't mention Obama, the governor is going down in Illinois, and that will focus attention on the cesspool that Barry was steeped in for his political training. The contrast with Sarah Palin's taking on Republican politicians in Alaska (the Ted Stevens case will be news, as well) will be striking.

4. We still have a month to attack, there is no reason to bring much of what we have until the mushy middle is focused firmly on the election. The Swift Boat heroes didn't fire until they saw the whites of John Kerry's eyes, I'll give McCain credit about knowing when to shoot at a target when you have a limited window to hit your objective.

5. We are conservatives because we put our faith in the people of our country, not our government, its institutions, or even its elected officials. They have been unpolled by organizations that know how to avoid calling them, they don't make a lot of noise when they worry about aligning themselves with a candidate that they're being told is stupid, but they fear the kind of people that Obama would bring into power. They will carry the day for this country. They haven't been fooled by a Northern liberal since 1960.

Bluebird—How exactly do you expect to ever see a conservative run under the pubbie banner if you vote for McCain?

As for Onada, the country is big enough to survive his term in office.

That said, I’m still agonizing over how I will vote. McCain has now presented me with a very serious dilemma. A vote for him may put Palin in line for presidency. On the other hand, even if he wins, will he allow her to flourish or will he put her in a room some where watching goldfish?
I believe he selected Palin for one reason only—so he could be president.

The tepid campaign McCain is now running, IMO, is more likely to fail than succeed. His rationale is that the public is tired of dirty campaigning. If that is so, even allowing for dem shill pollster connivery, why is the race so close? Nothing McCain says makes any sense.

This nonesense some people are saying about an Onada landslide is BS. I don’t believe pubbies not voting for McCain translates to votes moving to Onada. Moreover, I think there will be a negative race factor on the dem side when it comes time to actually pull the lever. If Onada wins I’m hoping he’ll come in below 45% of those who voted. That is not a mandate.

The Congressional elections are a crapshoot at this point. Don’t know how that will turn out.

The dems have once again created chaos and they are taking advantage of it. RNC and McCain’s bunch just don’t have a clue.

Furthermore, regardless how angry some may be with his vote, there is a real risk of economic collapse.

Flat out not true. If this was THIS dangerous then where's the stock market collapse that would go with it???

Agreed that Obama would be a disaster. Expect secession movements, a communist takeover or even a civil war if he gets in office. Nation of Islam with badges and guns is what we can expect.

I agree with you. At this point, however, I have to vote to best ensure (en shore - as Obama would say) that Obama stays out. He is a puppet and would put our country in even greater danger.

You make good sense, I agree with you that it was stupid for McCain to suspend his campaign last week, it looked like a stunt. As far as the liberal press goes, when are we going to learn our lesson? I wonder what the campaign would have done in hindsight? Maybe it would have been better to do no interviews at all, because the liberal press doesn’t even try to hide it anymore how slanted they are. They don’t care if they come across like the Gestapo. They are way beyond caring anymore about appearing decent. Maybe we should change the way we respond to their requests.

If McCain causes us to lose this election because of his own stupidity and ignorance, he should immediately be drummed out of the Republican Party permanently and forever ostracized. Never again should his name be mentioned in anything other than a context of failure.

All but one man tried

on election week

and they say he ran astray

BRANDED!

Marked with a loser's shame!

What do you do when you're BRANDED?!

Can you live through the pain!?

LOl, I’m in almost the same discussion on another thread. I think this applies to what we’ve been saying:
