Looks like Biden had the questions in advance
Presidential Debate | 10/02/09 | Wil H

Posted on 10/02/2008 7:34:45 PM PDT by Wil H

Joe Biden just answered a question without hesitation, without pause for thought, as if he knew what was coming.

Ifill asked him "Can you think of a long held view you were forced to change.."

Biden stepped in without hesitation with a detailed answer, even before Ifill had finished asking the question.

Did he anticipate and have a canned answer, or was he prepped and just jumped in to soon?

On the split screen, Biden facial expressions reminded me of “high school debates” where you were almost tempted to stick out your tongue on your opponent...The moderator worked in sync...Biden was favored...

My thoughts EXACTLY!!!

He dind’t even THINK before responding and had everything too smothly put together.

That miserable b*tch Ifill (=Evill) probably gave him them before.

But Plain plastered him just as well.

Definitely. His immediate response VS her second or two of delay before speaking.

Major Garrett (ughhh) just said Palin did better with men than with women. I wonder what he’s getting at here? Could he possibly be trying to influence the womens vote?

My impression was that he had the answers. Palin did an even better job, if this is truly the case.

Why are their not two or three moderators????? Balance between liberal and conservative journalist?

That was really creepy. This is EXACTLY what I was thinking after only the second question. All Biden’s answers thereafter confirmed the hypothesis - fluid, memorized verbatim, directly on point to the question asked, and beginning virtually nanoseconds after Ifill completed the question....

Wonder if anyone in media will ever report that (rhetorical question).

Of course Ifill hit the entire liberal checklist. But I especially liked that “who is to blame” question about the Rescue Plan - God help us she couldn’t have asked about how to DEAL with the problem, that might favor the Repubs too much, and much in keeping with virtually the entire undertext - demonize Bush/Cheney and everything they have ever touched or can be blamed for....

I have always thought the Democrats had the questions in advance and the answers memorized in these “debates”. I remember Gerald Ford stumbling with the question of Poland being independent of the Soviet Union. After Ford bungled the question, Carter stepped in with an answer that seemed prepared and memorized. During the Reagan/Mondale debates Mondale seemed ready with a prepared answer for every question. Clinton seemed to be giving memorized responses in his debates with Bush though Clinton was so smooth it was hard to tell. Al Gore gave memorized answers in his debates. I could tell. He didn't answer in sentences but in prepared paragraphs. Gore was so mechanical in his answers that he reminded of a computer or a recording devise. Kerry's answers in the debates with Bush were always concise and to the point and perfectly timed down to the second(totally unlike his speaking in other formats). Biden was very obvious. He was like someone reciting prepared answers totally unlike his normal answers to questions.

Its like a job interview.

I have been on a lot of interviews and have interviewed a lot of people. This wasn't like that. Maybe, that is what made me suspicious.

Palin was “over coached” in my opinion. She was too “civil” which is a big McCain trait. The Dems will lie, cheat, steal to get what they want (power). Our Repubs are too prone to play “Mr. Nice Guy” and take the high road that the dems abandoned LONG ago! There were SO MANY lost opportunities!!

Tonight’s display will not matter; the media has already declared a Presidential winner.

I don’t remember which one, but it was off the wall and not something you prepare for. He started answering way too quickly. They cheated and still lost.

It sounded pretty darn pat to me too. Biden was smooth - all Sarah puffing aside. In fact, I’d say Biden won the debate with points to spare. In all that, he didn’t miss much in the way of direct answers (real unusual for a RAT) and he kept on target bashing McLame. If I were to guess, I’d say yeah it’s a good bet he had the questions in advance.

Of course, that’d be unethical and I’d be shocked. Shocked! SHOCKED!

It also threw him when he didn’t name the commander in Afghanistan and she did.

Biden looked tired. He was off color , pale or something. His eyes were puffy, and squinty.

Also, his denture cream wasn’t working on his lower plate. He was terrible.

When Biden talked abut Dick Cheney as “dangerous” I though he came off as just plain mean. I can’t believe he followed that up by claiming he Borked Bork. What a sad and bitter person.

There was another question where he appeared to read his response.

That is exactly what I felt a couple times. His entire answer was being read. The questions were not general enough to write notes verbatim as answer.

The Cheney thing only plays with their base. Cheney is a great and nice man. A patriot who has served his country well.
